You missed the train old station, at the other end of main avenue. Arriving by train in Aveiro, cross the city center and take the ferry to São Jacinto is quite an experience.

Great video of Aveiro! I was there last month and its my home away from home. Everyone who knows me, calls me Aveiro-Dan. You didn't try the eels? Aveiro is known for their Eel Stew * Caldeirada de enguias!!!

Dave, thank you for this video, I watch your videos from time to time because I just like to know how people from other places of the world see my country, and I just love the way you see the customs and the cuisine we have. I've loved this video about Aveiro since I'm so close to it, so many things you've covered that just make me go there again and I live just about 30km from there! 😅 But there is one other city I urge you to visit... Coimbra.... wonderful city, in the margins of the Mondego river, has one of the oldest universities in the world, one of our greatest poets Luís Vaz de Camões studied there, and is has an history that goes back to our kings and even the Romans , and Coimbra has great food also 🤭
