Abandoned Hillman Bridge on The Suwannee River (Ellaville Ghost Town) Florida

Published 2020-09-27
This is the old highway 90 where it crossed the Suwannee River near the old town of Ellaville. The bridge was built sometime around 1925 and was abandoned in the later 1900's when the modern Route 90 was built. It was also once called the Hillman Bridge or Ellaville Bridge. A great relic of history still standing here in Florida, hopefully it will be here for many years to come.

Is that bridge used now as part of the Florida Trail? A couple of thru hikers have shown video of it this week..
