In this video I'll be checking out the new E330, 24/7 recording, Smart Protection, 4K Video, Wired, Security Camera system, with the BionicMind A.I. that stitches together videos on the new HomeBase3.
This system can record videos in 4K day or night with its 4K Color Night Vision Camera. This system is easier than most NVR or DVR systems because there's no wires between cameras or the home base. Only power to the nearest outlet.
This is a quick tutorial mostly because it was so easy for us to install, but I defiantly dive in on a in-depth review. Don't hesitate to use the chapters if you're looking to find something specific.

I bought this system because of this video. Thanks for info.
  • Solid review! I noticed you have your lens cover still on the camera when executing your pairing! I did the same and spent hours trying to pair with no luck! I came accross an obscure online post which suggest removing the plastic protecting the lens, and voila -- it paired. Who would have thought! Another suggestion, you can use siding hooks to mount the cameras with no drilling! I used 2 hooks per E330.

The audio has improved since the release. Good to see. Only real downside is the big connector imo.

Hi Grant, thanks for a great review. I really want to like these cameras to replace my NEST cams but the things holding me up are: #1 only 15fps. #2 Viewing from Computer Browser allows ONLY live view of (1) camera and you can't look at recorded events or 24/7 footage. #3 no Multicam view on computer. I like to have a window open on my computer with 4 cams streaming in realtime. #4 individual camera sharing with other people.

I have the S380 Base 1TB HD and 4-S330 camera's and they work great. I do like the 8x zoom and the solar panels on top and NO fee's is nice. I think that camera system would be great for a business that needs 24/7 surveillance and keep the money in your pocket just buy a big hard drive and then you don't pay for a service.
  • @xangodango
good review thanks. we seem to be buying the same products! I have the same HDD, same keyboard and even the 3060 ti like you do! great minds think alike.. anyway thanks for the review ... im tryign to decide between these cams and synology cam licences
  • I’ve said the same thing to eufy about the notifications being user specific! I love all my eufy devices, but that part is so annoying! I hope they listen to your feedback!

Thanks Grant for your review -- very helpful. Can the 4 camera system accommodate an additional one or two cameras? If not, would the operation of a second Eufy complete system (i.e. cameras and hard drive) cause a problem, perhaps with the app?
  • Sorry, I am commenting as I am watching your video. So my posts will be scattered. I agree 150% with the barrel connector, this was a pain in the butt for me and ended up spicing the power connector to make the cable management easier with smaller drill holes!
  • @Tomarsnback.
In the settings for the doorbell you can select it to pre record for 4 seconds i believe so it records before people come into the frame. I set my dual camera euphy and never miss a thing, i also have it set to record a full minute after last detection just in case.

Great review. I'd have liked to have seen a review of how to delete recordings to free up space on hard drive. Can you delete by date, or is it on motion detected?

Thx - your review was really helpful. Just starting research and Eufy looks great. Does the basestation have an option to connect to my home internet via wifi vs ethernet?
  • @user-zs9wx5do8l
Great review, thank you. I have a HB 2 system with both 2C and pro cameras, can I connect these to this system and get the features of HB 3? I have searched for that information but not found any discussion about it, it should be quite common for old users to extend their existing system rather to change it. Thank you.
  • @ikwil2011
I second that con about the ignore zone should be available on all Eufy camera's.
  • @Martin-cb4fh
Does anyone know if they fixed the issue where by if someone steals the camera and then performs a 'RESET' on it with the button that you loose all the access to all the recorded footage?
  • @gangaindenial
I havent been able to find any 16TB 2.5 SSD or HDD at least in the normal consumer world. Maybe they are coming soon and the HB3 just has support for the future?
  • @linden5576
So this looks like a good system. But I have a question! You said the cameras run on Wi-Fi. What does that mean? Does that mean that when the Wi-Fi is out you get nothing? Like the ring cameras etc.? Or does it still record 24 seven and you can go back and not miss a single moment Because it continue to record, even though there was no Wi-Fi? I have a camera now, that I attached to my front window where it can see outdoors in my front yard. I have the audio turned off and the infrared turned off. I do have a ring camera up that adds enough light so it sees very well at night without needing the infrared turned on. The infrared would only shine on the window and that’s all you would see in your recording if it’s pitch black outside. So with the light source on the outside and the infrared turned off, it can record just beautifully, but the volume is turned off because obviously it’s outside and inside because it’s attached to the inside of the window. So I don’t need the audio anyway. works out perfect I love it has detection human detection and motion so you could set it where it won’t go off when there’s bushes rat you know rattling but it will go off if it sees a person or a pet and give you a notification that there’s a pet or a person and not a rattling. Records onto a chip 24 seven. I love it. I’m gonna get more it plugs into your wall and it uses Wi-Fi in your app on your cell phone or laptop. I’m gonna get more for my windows. I might even put up in my windows. The only downside is it will record what’s inside and outside if you have the volume on so if you’re fine with that, if not turn off the volume the other if it’s pitch black outside of the window, you attached this to, you’ll just pitch because you have to turn off the infrared or all you’ll see is infrared red dots and that’s all it’ll record for 24 hours! So you have to have some type of source on perfectly and beautifully through the window with night vision turned off so that’s the downside to the inside of window to look out and record out. No problem if you have a light source no problem just turn off and you’re good to go, I love it. I’m going to attach more but I have to have light sources so if you have a motion sensor or floodlight that comes on dust to Dawn them all to the inside of your windows you’ll be good to go if you don’t care about. No, with these cameras here that in your video that are different from the one I’m talking about that plug into an outlet attached to your window, I want something that can record 24 seven nonstop even after the Wi-Fi is gone down. Now some people say well if the Wi-Fi goes down it’s only going down on the app that thing will still record so you just won’t see it because the app is down. OK that’s fine cause I can go back and check later if I need to. But I also want to mention with this camera that’s attached to the inside of the window, which is basically an indoor camera, and I it records 24 seven and I’m notified on Wi-Fi when I leave my home and go out of Wi-Fi range and I get a notification that there’s a pet or , person detected, it will notify me and asked me do I want this notification ran through data saying that I have no Wi-Fi where I’m at. I’m out of range. I’m 5 miles away. That is a bonus because I can always be aware of what’s going on in my yard yes, it will use data Wi-Fi if you’re out of Wi-Fi range you’ll still get your! I love that. This is a perfect solution for me. Just wanted to mention that inside cameras attached to the windows. I don’t know if any of the other outdoor cameras work the same way if you could still get notifications, even if Wi-Fi is down but through the data of your cell phone, in My Verizon data data. If I use data, I use data. At least I get my notifications because that’s the whole purpose of these cameras is to record Continuously and alert is detected according to your settings that you set. I need 24 seven surveillance. People are jamming other peoples Wi-Fi and what is affecting their cameras and causing their cameras such as ringing others to stop recording. This is becoming widespread now, so with that being said with the ability to still receive my notifications either Wi-Fi or data is perfect and the 24 hour recording on a chip is perfect . My question is do you need more terabytes for?? I record 24 seven and after the 24 hour period I checked my cameras if I’m not up doing it, I check my cameras and if there’s nothing that’s useful so I don’t need this huge amount of storage because I’m not storing useless footage! I go through and keep things eliminated And keep my SD card clean. Just thought I would add that. I don’t understand the network part. I have Netgear 77. I also have Xfinity TV and Internet, but I opted to buy my own box so that’s the Netgear 77. I don’t know if it’s a two or five I have no clue. Do I need to change my net gear to something different or purchase something different? Do you have to know how many devices you can connect to your Wi-Fi? How do you know all of this or find out all this information? Also, if you’re gonna keep these cameras, I would scratch off the name on the camera or put a piece of tape around it. That just helps people know less about what type of device you have! Strangers don’t need to know that lol
