Let's waste 40 minutes for Microsoft Support Scammers

Published 2020-03-16
Got a call from "Microsoft Support" scammers today. They wanted to get remote access to my computer in order to fend of hackers and malicious malware that they had detected by surveying my license from Microsoft Headquarters in USA (with a Finnish phone number...). So I made them believe I was following their instructions and had them running in circles trying to fix my problems.

JOKES ASIDE: IF YOU GET A CALL FROM SOMEONE WITH AN INDIAN ACCENT IN A BUSY ENVIRONMENT CLAIMING THEY ARE MICROSOFT SUPPORT, EITHER TROLL THEM OR END THE CALL. DO NOT(!!!) GRANT THEM ACCESS!.

If Microsoft support calls you, they will be speaking your language. Microsoft would also never call you without you initializing a help-request inquiry. And perhaps not even then.
