I would love to see Viserys just defy all odds and just keep being alive while looking more and more zombie ish

"No matter how fat the leech grows, it always wants for another meal." Daemon described Otto's hunger for power in a sentence.

My favorite part of this episode was right after Alicent loses her entire mind, the whole room just looks around like "Well......bedtime?"

Aegon is unironically the one doing the most to prevent war. He doesn't want to challenge Rhaenyra, he knows his nephews are bastards and not only keeps it to himself but actually gets along with them. Even his drunkenness and lechery in a way makes people less likely to support him as king. Unfortunately Alicent, Otto and Rhaenyra herself will ruin him

I want this show to go on for 7 seasons and have Paddy Considine's character still be alive.

I love the part where Viserys tries to deescalate things by yelling that they're family and the shot shows the room with everyone basically standing in their own respective groups. That dude's clinging to life because he knows as soon as he dies half those people will soon follow.

To be clear, Aemond didnt say the eye for a dragon line initially because he still wanted (in his opinion) justice for losing his eye. It was only when he saw that he wasn’t going to get it at that moment and that his mother was about to endanger both of them that he used the line to calm her down. It also served as a back-handed comment, reminding them that their dragon was now his.
  • The “crazy” sister predicted the loss of the eye in the previous episode. She said something to the effect that he would have to lose an eye before he would get a dragon.

DAEMON: "We could not marry unless Laenor were dead." RHAENYRA: "I know." DAEMON: "Let them whisper...We will know the truth of it, and our enemies won't." RHAENYRA: "They will fear what else we might be capable of." "EACH OF US IS CAPABLE OF DEPRAVITY. And more than you would believe." - Daemon Targaryen
  • I laughed out loud when Aegon said “we know. Everyone knows. Just look at them” in reference to Raenyra’s children 😂

The depth in the way everyone was looking at each other was so deep and with so many layers. Incredible story telling.

I've never seen my wifes emotions flip faster than when she was ridiculing rhaenyra for having her husband killed to marry her uncle, then to ugly crying when it was revealed hubbie was actually given the freedom he so desperately wanted.

Opening: Laena is put out to sea, ending: Laenor sets out to sea. Laenor is also seen crying and staring out at the ocean during the funeral. For the plot moving so quickly, they do a tremendous job at least setting up and doing visual storytelling here. Aemon's young actor will be missed, he also made the most of a very short amount of screen time.

Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke were both brilliant this episode.
  • I was feeling real Joffe feels when I realized that the children weren't just background scenery anymore. When bad stuff is about to go down, because of a fight between children.

Allicent: wears green The 7 kingdoms: “a call to war!” Aemond: steals a dragon The 7 kingdoms: “it be like that sometimes”

its crazy how it only took 1 episode for me to go from not giving a shit about the drama between all the kids to wanting the show to only be about the drama between all the kids they were all so good especially in this episode

I think Viserys is supposed to be in his 40s at this point in the books. Dragons can bond with new riders because they will probably outlive their rider, but people can only bond with one dragon. Viserys was the last rider of Balereon, the dragon Aegon the Conqueror rode when he conquered Westeros.

King Viserys is single handedly curing everyone's daddy issues - loving his daughter no matter what
  • Writing has been in point. -Vaemond throwing shade during the eulogy -Aemond’s swagger after riding Vhagar “It’s Me.” -Alicent and Rhaenyra fight was like Shakespeare -Viserys telling everybody to shut the fnck up. He’s so over this -nice twist from the books having Laenor “die”
