You really said it spot on... This is the closest from perfection we're gonna get. Might be one of the greatest albuns I've ever heard. And I'm not really a Billie stan but what her and her brother are doing is just phenomenal... Album Of The Year for sure!
  • @stevek7699
Yeah, I'm going there. NO top popular artist has EVER put out an album of this cohesiveness and brilliance. Prove me wrong.
  • @TylerTesfaye
Just so you know Billie did a lot of stuff production wise this album, she’s credited in engineering and production on this album and her and Finneas talked about it with Zane low during an Apple Music interview

chihiro goes so hard while driving your car by yourself. definitely my favorite. aoty material right here. it's got everything: beautiful vocals and melodies, daring themes, great storytelling, crazy good production, has a good pace from track to track and is just the right length to give us memorable tracks. the replay value of this album is insane. + it has an it factor: is the billie eilish, the awards magnet also i'm rooting for finneas to get producer of the year as well
  • @haisnsnxksn
yes finneas produces a lot of billie’s stuff but billies also been very hands on with this album too
  • 8:11 When he said, “this track right here, chimichanga”, i almost spit out what I was eating 😂
  • Even tho Finneas does a fantastic job sounds very dismissive that you are crediting him with every single creative/production decision on the album. Billie is a big part of it, she does a lot besides singing and songwriting. Vocal production is mainly her she is credited for synthesizers, vocal editing and engineering too. They also said she did some production, i'm guessing she didn't wanted credit on that so Finneas can win producer alone idk. But you can check the interview they did with Zane Lowe for apple music where they talk about how they did the record.

Very nice reaction - I like that since, you introduced yourself to Billie, you've really taken her seriously, along with Finneas; I think it's a phenomenal album and although "Lunch" was a fun, playful and engaging catalyst for many, "chihiro', "Bittersuite" and "Blue" are - for me - off the charts - outstanding. I would add that "bittersuite" is not only a reference to a hotel suite, but also to a musical "SUITE" and thus, the three or more parts in the song. Others have noted Billie's contributions beyond singing. "Blue" is almost a "symphonic" masterpiece - like a Schubert "Lieder" - it's beautiful, since its 5:43 - perhaps too long for a GRAMMY Record or Song, it could be "a Grammy One song Listening experience of the Year" [but others would push for 'Chihiro!].

Chihiro is my absolute favourite. It’s just an experience!
  • I wasn't a fan of Billie before this album, but it's really perfect. I always thought she was talented and interesting, but I just wrote her off as a pop artist. This album proved me wrong. This is an experimental album, with one random pop song mixed in. I'm a connoisseur of synths. I've been obsessed with synthpop since the 80's and this album has some amazing synth work. Billie and Finneas are insanely talented. And Finneas is only 26?? I thought he was much older based on some of the sonic inspirations he pulled from on this album.

Thank you for posting this full review on YT ! honestly this is some of Billie’s best work and right now it’s album of the year hands down for me💪🏽
  • @jenniferhof9448
Billie did a phenomenal live version of The Greatest on Late Night with Stephen Colbert.
  • @Youmnaa444
Finally‼️ I have been waiting for your reaction
  • This is exactly how I feel every time I listen to this album. Can't decide on my favorite, each song a revelation both both vocally and production-wise, smiling and shaking my head
  • @horsehollerer
Nice reaction to this incredible body of work ... thanks! Side B of the vinyl (the last 4 songs .... but it's really the last 10-12 songs with all the switches LOL) has come into its own in the last couple of weeks. Side B is all I've been playing. It's so cinematic and sophisticated and engaging. I love Side A too but B has risen to the top. Cheers. [EDIT] P.S. My only criticism ... I think you're separating Billie's and Finneas's contributions too much ... they sit side by side and write and produce everything together. Billie brings a lot of production ideas and she makes most of the creative calls. She now also records, comps and engineers her own vocals without Finneas, which is a new thing for her. Cheers.
