Focalor's Final Gambit | 4.2 Archon Quest Playthrough/Reaction

I like how after the quest in the profile voices of the archons... they all have admiration for Furina, especially Ei and Zhongli...

I know I am a bit late to the party but this took a while to edit... Sorry for the slight microphone crackling in the later parts, not sure what caused it... maybe the fact that the recording was 7+ hours long...

@Mephora You were surprised that Focalors, and by extension Furina, was an Oceanid Familiar of Egeria, the previous Archon and said Oceanid became the next Archon. You said we don't know how Archons come to be. However, that is not true. Venti, aka Barbatos The God of Freedom and Anemo Archon, was a mere Anemo Elemental (I don't know that we were ever told what kind, but I think most people believe him to be a Seelie) during the time of Decarabian, The God of Storms and previous Anemo Archon, who ascended to become the new Anemo Archon after he helped to dethrone Decarabian, choosing to take the form of his fallen Bard Friend. Likewise Nahida, aka Buer the God of Wisdom and Dendro Archon, is, like her predecessor Rukkhadevata, nothing more or less than an Avatar of Irminsul (The Tree of Life), literally a Dendro Twig snapped off said tree. Even Zhongli, aka Morax the God of Contracts and Geo Archon, began his existence as nothing more than a Geo Dragon Adeptus before the Geo Gnosis came to him. The only Archons that we've met that we don't know the origin of are Ei and Makoto, the Twin Electro Archons. Given what has been established, I have to assume they were and are Electro Elemental Beings of some sort. And, yes you were right and not imagining things: Focalors was taller than Furina. I believe that was intentional as Focalors was supposed to be Furina as an Adult. Remember, Focalors lived a lot longer than Furina. It's basically what Nahida said about expending an Archon's Divine Power. Remember what she said during her Story Quest? She said that she could expend her Divine Power to heal Apep at the expense of her "growth," thus reverting her to what she started her existence as: A Mere Twig of Dendro. Focalors did the same thing. By removing her Divinity from her body and placing it inside the Oratrice, she caused her physical form to revert into the form she began her "human" existence as: A Young Girl. And, thus, we have Furina. I also have to assume that Furina's link to Focalors' Divinity that had kept her alive for 500 Years (remember that Focalors stated that as long her Divinity continued to exist, Furina would not die) also stunted her physical growth. In current day, Furina, in equivalent human age, would be between 18 and 22. Focalors, on the other hand, would be about 40. Lastly, I would like to thank you for being a rational human being when it came to Furina. I can't believe how many people Simped for Furina as hard as the Fontainans, to the point that they were madly in love with her even when it was obvious that she was putting on a show and lying to her people. And they continued to call her "The Hydro Archon" even after she was proven NOT to be "The Hydron Archon." People, to this day, still consider her "The Hydro Archon" and that annoys me because it's simply not true. She never was, nor will she ever be, The Hydro Archon. Furthermore, all of Hoyoverse's marketing for Furina outside the initial reveal where they DID say she was the Hydro Archon, showed Hoyoverse' deception and told the truth that Furina, in fact, was NOT the Hydro Archon. Many people called out the inconsistencies between Furina's marketing materials and the marketing materials of the actual Archons. Hoyoverse, in their marketing, intentionally deceived us just like Focalors did to her people. They HAD to market Furina as the Hydro Archon initially to protect the twist of the Archon Quest. All of that being said, my heart completely broke for Furina after the Final Act of the Archon Quest and her Story Quest. It was those two stories that made me fall in love with Furina as a character and her character arc. So well written and so nuanced. So... thank you for being real and logical and rational instead of being a mindless Simp. Your playthrough was a joy to watch. On to your playthrough of Furina's Story Quest!

It's always odd watching people and hearing how they viewed Furina as one who was not doing anything for her people. This Act was amazing with it's direction and voice acting. And in regards to why sometimes I'm caught off guard by the initial Furina takes is kinda cause I viewed Furina's antics as a way to make it seem for her people that things were at least kinda under control. I never really viewed her as apathetic towards her people. Just kinda scared and not wanting to concern the people.

Literally the best Archon , she played 5D chest and won . Everything that had to happen yes suxs but it was all worth it to save the people .. Also if anyone didnt know but all the elemental Hypostasis core are glowing except for Hydro since well the Archon is gone . You can check it out in the Archives : )

So, Neuvillette is officially the strongest now. Since a fraction of power is taken from the dragon sovereign to power the gnosis to be given to the Archon so they'll become God. Now I have mixed feeling to fight the Fatui. I wont be surprised that the Traveler will one day joined the sibling by fighting alongside the Fatui against the heavenly principles.

Indeed, Furina's divinity is kinda cold, since she separated her divinity and her body and spirit. Well, maybe, we can say Furina is a human without divinity, and Focalors is a divinity without humanity

Maybe my opinion is not Accurate but... If you read the ending of manga, the scene thats Vanessa open Celestia doors, Venti said (The Gods (Celestia) Sacrifice "Purusha" and cut his body to a Pieces. and then Fashioned all living beings wtih those part). "Purusha mean is not the person name, in Myth is mean "The Chosen Human/Spirit". Could be this Purusha thats Venti mention is the 3rd Decenders maybe?
