The comments from the troll that was insulting people and calling them k-pop stans has now been banned from the channel with comments removed (I hope, YT is a little janky with channel blocks). My apologies for not getting to it sooner. Remember, everyone should be allowed to have their own opinion on a topic. If you prefer the unused music that's ok. If you prefer the licensed music that's also ok.

Drivin' Me Bananas not making it in annoys me the most out of all of these. You're telling me we missed out on an amazing rendition of the DKC theme in favor of the most unfitting song in the entire soundtrack?
-
The fact that all of these songs were fully finished, and Illumination STILL decided to pay for licensed songs that didn’t even fit the scene is the most painful part of the movie 💀
-
The fact that “Drivin’ Me Bananas” was cut is an actual crime, and every single Donkey Kong fan ever needs a personal apology from Chris Meledandri for it being cut.
-
Oh man I’m pissed we didn’t get to hear these original compositions in the movie. They fit so much better than the 80s tracks. There’s enough nostalgia and general appeal in the film already - we don’t need more member berries.
-
See movie studios? This is what happens when you actually respect the composer you hired. Look at how much better this is.
-
Can we acknowledge that they payed more money just to make the scenes inferior to if they just let the musical director do their thing? It’s ridiculous how much better these scenes are with original music.
-
These are all so much better than the strange library of licensed music we got
-
The music fits better surprisingly, I hope Universal releases a version of the film without the licensed music :O
-
The loss of Drivin' Me Bananas is a thing I won't be healing for
-
The final battle was originally planned to have Van Halen’s Jump, but luckily Bryan Tyler managed to keep Superstars! (I think that’s the title) in the final release.

Honestly this makes everything feel... less Illumination. It makes it feel like a animated film, and more of a love letter to Mario rather than a marketing machine. Edit: I will admit that they use the 1-1 Letimotif far too much in these. Would have been nice to hear some SMW or even SML (Super Mario Land) in there.
-
Seriously how is this not an audio option? Spider-Man 3 did something like this where you can watch the movie with the original compositions.
-
I am so unbelievably mad at Press Start's exclusion, it makes that whole sequence so much cooler
-
Shows that you should trust the composer. These songs just fit better.
-
It's so sad that the composer's music was not used in the movie and these unused tracks fit so much better in the film.
-
We need a "Score Only" version of this movie, ASAP.
-
5:19 I was very surprised by this Mario RPG reference, maybe a little less surprising now that we know about the remake but I would've been shocked if I heard this in the theater
-
Ending the movie with Mr. Blue Sky kinda left a bad taste in my mouth, and Drivi’n Me Bananas being cut is criminal. Thank you very much for restoring these tracks.
-
I actually liked Mr. Blue Sky at the very end, but everything else felt out of place. Drivin' Me Bananas is now my favorite unused track 💛
