As a multiple Emmy-award-winning fixture in Hollywood, Sam's signature style not only made him an industry titan, but a favourite with celebrities on the red carpet who all knew him fondly as 'Hollywood Sam'. What a gift he was, and how rare is the person who the mention of their name brings a smile to your face.

I’m from LA and live in London and I’ve been watching Sam an institution in KTLA (a local station) since I was five or six years old on the KTLA morning news. I was shocked to hear he died. I gasped on the tube. He was fun and entertaining and seeing his demise makes a Los Angelino nostalgic.

RIP Sam a true professional…..but….it’s a pity the gossips and commenters Kinsey Scofield and Ester Krakue didn’t take a leaf out of Sam’s book and showed some integrity and kindness when discussing celebrities and the royals instead of being so spiteful and vindictive…they make for some very unpleasant viewing…Piers Morgan Show and Talk Tv is a classic example of how nasty those two can be.
