7 years of software support is insane, thumbs up for that, Google!

I've had the chance to get my hands on the 8 and 8 Pro as well, and I can't deny these things: - The blue looks really nice. - The phones feel super good in the hand. - They feel fast. - 7 years of software updates is a lot.

If it's gonna be 7 years of support, I think pixel is gonna make it's brand way more recognizable due to the fact that people are gonna use these over the years and it's still gonna be somehow relevant due to software updates

We never doubted about the Pixels' camera performance, we are interested in how the thermals and battery performance are resolved.

I think this video was more anticipated than the actual keynote 😂

These photo editing features seem insanely cool. Will be interesting to see what they're actually like in the real world.

The video boost feature sounds exciting to me, can't wait to see some test results!

Using my OnePlus 5 since over six years, last three of them without updates... 7 years of updates is actually insane. It means a lot for sustainability imo

I personally like the temperature sensor. Our phones are already our swiss army knives, they can be a compass, a ruler, a map, an instrument tuner, a notebook, a remote, a level, etc. I think it makes sense to add thermometer to the list I can see a future where a child doesnt feel well and a parent says "come here, let me read your temperature" and whips out a smartphone

In your full review I would love to see some comparisons to the older pixels particularly camera quality/processing. Just to see how far it's come. I've got a 6pro and love it so need convincing to even consider upgrading anytime soon. Thanks! ✌️

7 YEARS OF UPDATES????? That's absolutely ridiculously awesome!
  • @robertyoung8615
Big Pixel fan here. We've been buying them exclusively since the 1st. Skipped a year here or a year there but all 3 of us have had nothing but Pixels since they launched. The 7 years of OS updates is interesting. Not a chance in this world we'll have a Pixel 8 in 2030 but its going to be interesting to see for sure!
  • Wow , 7 yrs of software support is amazing . Huge thumbs up for google !!
  • @camelapodo
Great to see the camera app going back nearly a decade and returning to splitting photo and video like a number of phones used to do. As it should've stayed.
  • I used the Best Take feature at the launch event for the 8-series in Belgium and it's really impressive how good that works
