  • Bless you Sir. Don't waste your time addressing misery looking for company. I appreciate what you've shared. Guys like you make this world a better place.

Thank you. Found on amazon for $50 bucks. I never knew about these. I could have REALLY used one 4 months ago. I was stressed out after an extractor broke off in my aluminum block.I was able to chip enough out and weld a nut to the remaining bolt. Took me about 20 tries before I got one that stuck though.

Thanks for posting. It's good to see a modern tool that works!

You are probably a jam up mechanic, but rambling on about shit that doesn't mean squat wastes my time. So I laid my steel flat on its back & dropped muratic acid onto the broken 3/8" drill bit in the hole . It loosened up enough to finally I worked the bit out. I was drilling a 2" ball hitch to use as a breech plug for a blackpowder cannon. Live dangerously & you'll appreciate life even more !
  • Excellent video thank you for taking time and showing that special bit in action.

Thank you. I broke a damn bit on a oil drain plug. I started with wrench, vice grip, small pipe wrench, sockets for rounded bolts, then drill bit. This plug is tight.

Before you know it the snowbirds will be back turning a 10 minute drive into an hour long ordeal! I'm in Cave Creek and try never to go south of the 101 if I can help it during the season..lol. I just found your channel and  just wanted to say you do a great job on your videos. It's great how you spend the time discussing things and not bagging on people for the questions they ask. I've already learned a lot and hopefully can talk to you when I get ready to do some work on a 390 and a 351M. Thanks again for the great videos.

Ha! I never knew you had a blooper reel!!! I thought you were just an absolute professional!!! Glad to know you mess up like the rest of us!!!

That little tool is $100, and worth every damn penny when you need it. Thanks for the video! Good to know this tool is out there. I've used small carbide balls on a die grinder to get out broken bits before, but this seems much more efficient. :)

Haha! I broke my drill bit yesterday and this 5 year old video popped up in my search to figure out how to remove it. I felt the whole traffic jam frustration. Made me laugh. Thank you!
  • @arlipscomb
The guy causing the traffic jam is the same guy arguing motor/engine.

Great multi-topic video. Glad to see you have a K9 assistant. They are the best. Really enjoying your videos.

And all these years I've been running Motor Oil in my Engines. No long ago, I dated a girl who told me transmission fluid isn't oil-lol.

Houston, Texas has a completely different traffic problem. If you aren't driving 20 MPH over the speed limit on the highway, you will mess up traffic and the driver behind you will be filled with road rage. If you aren't driving a full size truck, you will feel like somebody is trying to crush you. I'm glad to see this video. In TV shows about car restoration, almost nobody shows the process of dealing with broken bolts and the frustration caused by removal.
  • man I loved your intro. I can tell you've been having a hard day hope it gets better but it was pretty comical. keep punching out videos, I love when my notifications say new from myvintageiron. hope you got some cool builds coming up
