Good job Steve, appreciate all the hard work you put in for this video. I just want to say, Rodion, you're gone but never EVER forgotten sir. You will always be that boy looking on the ice with the wonder in his eyes.

Londoner here, Cowan has generated buzz since he was picked. Everyone around here was pumped to see it.

When your a competitive NHL club who drafts late…never apologize for selecting a guy like Easton Cowan. As a Windsor native, I’ve been to many Spitfire games. The Knights are our arch rivals, who we get to see a lot of. They have a fantastic program there…we’ve seen it year in and year out. What comes to mind regarding Cowan, is that he actually reminds me a bit of Matt Cooke, who played junior as a Windsor Spitfire — on a team that was not competitive (pre Bougner/Reichal era) Matt Cooke never needed the team to be good around him, he was a high energy dog, who was seriously puck hungry, fantastic PK specialist, irritating fore checker. He put points up in junior because of a work ethic, and by being a smart positional player. He threw hits on a non stop basis. I haven’t seen Cowan with the same affinity for hitting as Matt Cooke had, but I swear the shear level of compete that seems to be just more than everyone else is there. And Cowan is not someone I’d like see guarding my point on the PK. And he’s not someone Id like to have chasing me into my end of the rink while retrieving a puck. My opinion is that as far as Cowan goes, we haven’t seen nothing yet. Because of his qualities, his ceiling for potential is highly malleable, as opposed to fixed. Guys like him usually wind up being inspirational teammates just by their character in ice. Players like him are always welcome on a team. I’m glad we chose him. 👍🏻

I always love your prospect pyramids, although I personally prefer 6 as a lot of tier 4 guys are better than others in the same tier. I'd personally have Grebyonkin, Hildeby, Niemela up higher.

Cowan is really impressing me, could definitely find a way to get up in tier with Knies. But, we will see how he develops

been waiting for this Big PP video, so glad i get to watch it now

i just want to point out is that Ty Voit said at development camp this year that his favourite taylor swift song is 'party in the usa', and i will never forget that. he can score a billion goals next season in the AHL, then get called up to the NHL and get a hat trick every game, and he will forever be known in my mind as 'party in the usa' guy.

Steve glad to see and hear that you are back can't wait for the season to start

Imagine if Easton makes the 2024 World Junior Ice Hockey team, that would be amazing.

Regarding Grebyonkin: In Russian there are two similar letters. "е" which is ye or a soft e, and "ё" which is yo. ё is usually simplified to e, because russian speakers know, when to put the two dotts above the e. Alexander Semin was a player, that had the same "problem". So yeah. Grebyonkin is the technically correct transcription

I was wondering what the next vid would be, and this definitely doesn’t disappoint!

Hey steve you forgot to mention the leafs prospect that they invited to camp this year and his name is Keenan Suthers he's 6'8 245lbs by the way and he is a left winger
  • @CelicaCrazed
I always look forward to this video. Great as always, thanks! Let's go Leafs!
  • The Leafs should change their theme song to 🎶"What Is Love, Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt Me, no more."🎶 because it sums up the thought process of Leafs fans.
  • @kovyrulz
Did you have a prospect edit this video? he missed a few rough cuts lol. That aside, I always look forward to the Big PP. Always fun to get an update on what the prospect pool looks like.
  • @xmintnarwhalx
love the content Steve! think the prospect pyramid is one of the most interesting things you make. I imagine most of your connections are within the leafs, but throughout the season would love to see these for other teams here and there.

It would be cool to do a video on the outcome of your prospect pyramids from the past. For ex: how many prospects from tiers 3,4&5 from your first prospect pyramid made the nhl. And if they did not make it to nhl, where are they now?
