Vevor sent me a Mag drill, so I made my ideal welding cart

Published 2023-12-11
Vevor sent me a Mag drill, and I needed to find project for it, so I drilled a lot of holes in a piece of plate steel. Then things escalated and I built my ideal welding cart for a small shop.

Here's the link to the Mag drill Vevor sent me:

The Topdon TC005 thermal camera has been pretty handy to have around the shop and I'm pretty impressed with it: www.amazon.com/dp/B0BRK5DLR3

The safety strap is in case the power goes out while the magnet is holding the drill on a wall ect

All of my favorite tools were either inherited or I found them (in the trash, or on the side of the road) and restored them. There's something really satisfying about making useful items out of free garbage.

I like how you're less worried about weld splatter, than the comments about it.

A slight diversion performed almost faultless as a promotion. Excellent! Thanks for your craftsmanship!

ya know, if you just got the fireball fixture table along with the fireball shim set and the fireball squares and the fireball clamp set you could make a table with equal length legs ... fireball

I appreciate that your sponsored content is still relevant to the channel. Yes it's essentially a commercial, but it's for something that viewers could be interested in, not a video game or a green drink.

I don't know if this helps anyone but if your in the market for a mag drill I'd recommend checking local auction sites around where i live mag drills are some of the most common auctioned off tools

Don't compare your project to what Fireball Tool does, your video is what the average person will or can do, his video's are "Hey, look how much money I have, you'll never have what I have!". This was a great video

My “handler”. My, aren’t we a big celebrity these days 🧐 In all seriousness, glad the channel is going well for them to reach out.
  • Great video Jeremy. I really appreciate the “use what you got” attitude. Cheers mate, Stuart 🇦🇺

The angular cutters work really well and that’s how you use the coolant

This video is a great demonstration of how it's beneficial to use something for a couple years while you think about how it could be better, then when you make or modify The Thing it ends up better and more planned out as a result

If Jeremy bought every tool, what would the videos be about? Any good fabricator builds his own shizzle nizzle👍
  • Apparently you aren't supposed to use the magnet for more than 3 hours at a time, because you will burn it up. Heard that on another video for these drills, and figured I'd add that tidbit of info here for you.
  • @KF-qj2rn
it could be a portable/modular milling attachment on mini lathe w/ some modification
  • @ajod5360
Another great vid Jeremy and you made good use of what you had.

My kid bought a mag drill after welding school, that was 4 years ago, he landed jobs for freight companies that need custom dollies for huge equipment, as well as commercial Canopy bases that were custom made onsite.
  • Sorry for the multiple comments here, but I just wanted to add that I also need to make a cart for my new Everlast multi welder, and I love what you did with this cart you made! Thanks for the great video!
