I quit my banking job. It was a super difficult decision to make, but one that I think i’ll look back on in many years to come and it’ll be the best decision I ever made. Unlike many, I actually enjoyed my job, I didn’t quit out of a dislike for my job or because the people i worked with made life difficult, and instead an inner motivation of continuing to empower people to make better financial decisions and invest for their futures was the driving force behind that decision. Of course i’d built up the right level of savings, investments and income outside of work to justify this decision, but it was a decision I’ve been preparing for for many years. Today I’m going to share my some of my learnings that led to this decision, I hope you find it useful. And thanks again to Trading 212 for sponsoring this video.

If you’re worried about your teams status saying you’re away just set up a meeting invite and invite no one else - join the meeting and walla, always ‘in a call’

Good luck Mitch. I did something similar years ago. I didn’t have the YouTube alternative to fall back upon but I realised I learnt so much more by being out of the salary comfort zone. Keep the videos coming. 🎉

The power of leverage. I was always told that real money is made using the leverage of other people’s time or money. Regardless you need skills and experience first and you can only really get that under the employ of someone else. Question is how much capability do you need before going out alone. I set up my business after 30 years in work but initially it was just me, then a handful and now many. Growth follows an S curve and years are spent at the bottom of the S before growth starts.

Great job Mitch. As someone who works for an investment bank I understand your rationale and also like to see someone escaping the rat race for a positive reason.
