Holy crap! I thought the kid's death in Superman II was a fever dream. It stuck with me for years but never saw it in any DVD or digital release.

Romy & Michelle is one of the best comedies ever, even without that scene.

Im still waiting for Event Horizon to drop a director's cut

The cut of Obi Wan’s conversation with Padme sharing he knew about her relationship with Anakin was unfortunate.

Unmentioned was that "What's it all about, Austin" was sung by Susannah Hoffs, wife of the director, member of the Bangles and of Ming Tea, Austin's band. However, the real loss to the movie was the deletion of the second appearance of Fook Mi and Fook Yu, who reveal their real English names and all the bother about it is completely unnecessary.
  • What? Not including the giant spider scene from the original King Kong that got its time was so scary that test audiences left talking mostly about that scene. Cut be suse it upstaged everything else and now lost forever.

Dogma has a plethora of brilliant scenes that were cut. There was all the really dark stuff and the full details of Bethany's abortion through fear that it would bring the mood down too much. There was the infamous dance scene. There is also some brilliant stuff from Jason Lee and Carlin that work, but they were trying to keep the time down so had to go.

Good list. Another one I'd include is the Daphne possession scene in Scooby Doo. It's a great scene, but a bit too intense for what is essentially a kids movie (albeit one with some grown-up themes).

Geena Davis is such a beautiful lady and a great actress ❤️
  • The test footage of EVENT HORIZON might have been a real-life cosmic horror experience

Concerning favourite musical numbers in films, The Blues Brothers is full of them, from John Lee Hooker singing "Boom Boom" in the street, to Aretha Franklin singing "Think" and Cab Calloway singing "Minnie the Moocher", quite apart from the Blues Brothers songs themselves. It must be the best musical ever, in my opinion.

Didn't see it listed here, but the deleted thor and Zeus scene from thor love and thunder. It tied the entire movie together and explained the lightning bolt. Tiaka made a huge mistake cutting it
  • Idk if it counts as "deleted", but Jessica Alba in Fantastic Four 2 talked about how she had a scene where her character was supposed to cry. She did such a good job and with actual fake tears and the director told her not to because it felt too real and ruined the pace and atmosphere of the movie. Just pretend to cry and they would add in CGI tears later. So they deleted the footage of her acting to make her do it again in a more toned down manner and reshot it with fake tears. Apparently this was a factor that made her want to retire/go on hiatus from acting

5:15 The scene in Romy and Michelle where romy gets hit by a limo in comically long sequence was deleted too.
  • Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him To The Greek had some hilarious deleted scenes.

To this list, I would add the courtroom scene from "Natural Born Killers". My favorite scene from a movie that's not in the movie (but on the special features).
  • "Favorite Musical Number of All Time?" Wow, that was a tough one, and my answer surprised myself. I love musicals, and thought of many numbers. But in the end, I'd have to say "La Marseillaise", from Casablanca. (And no, I'm not even remotely French.) As always thank you so very much for the videos.

Can we all agree a “polish lullaby” sounds like a sex act you would find on urban dictionary? 😂
