I love your authenticity! I love that your family and nothing has to be perfect all the time. I was raised to keep your home clean, kids clean and never to let people see you down. I started my garden in pots. Works well! And you could've just had a few on the deck to see how that would've gone. Plus you wouldn't have to deal with the deer up there.
