Paul Walker didn’t just play a laid back SoCal car guy in The Fast And The Furious movies, he was a laid back SoCal car guy IRL. The role of Brian O’Conner fit him like a glove, so it’s no wonder it became the defining role of his career. But there was more to Paul Walker than fast cars, explosive action, and cheesy lines—a lot more. Join host James Pumphrey as he gets you Up To Speed on the late, great Paul Walker!

  • Paul also came personally to Chile in 2010, to a small town called Pelluhue in wich he used to surf, after a devastating earthwake. He provided relief for the injured and affected locals. As recognition for his help, and love of surfing, a street is named after him and he also has a commemorative plaque. A real hero if you ask me
  • @eurosonly
I love how he actually lived the character out in reality. He was so happy about people calling him Brian in public. He felt like a super hero. That was like his role for the franchise and people associated him with it.
  • @totes1378
Honestly going back and hearing Paul's story again is pretty emotional and hits harder every time
  • @siindree
He also did animal conservation too which I found really cool, saw him in a natgeo program about researching and tagging Great White Sharks, didn't expect to see him there, but it was amazing, man was a legend
  • The most memorable movie experience I’ve ever had was when the entire audience cried together at the end of that last movie. Just showed how much passion and appreciation he really garnered from everyone. Icon really is the best term for this legend of a human being.
  • @n7kev
James is such a good story teller. I couldn't help but tear up a bit when you could tell it was hard for him to cover Paul's passing.
  • @stbands7601
I’m so happy to watch this video about Paul. I still remember when I was 9 or 10 and I had found out Paul had passed away. I spent the whole week watching videos about how it happens and cried more than I did for anyone else. He was my hero when I was growing up. I’ve watched the fast and the furious movies practically since I was born and still continue to watch them to this day. Rip Paul Walker
  • I still to this day cry when I hear see you again. Paul Walker is the reason why I became a mechanic, and he's one of my all time favorite actors.
  • @DeejayJeanP
8 years ago and still couldn't keep it dry, especially hearing James' tone at the end. Props and RIP.
  • man was a humble class act , met him once at a screening event in Tampa bay florida. most genuine and respectable celeb ever
  • @jacoblay1935
I cry watching this stuff I can't help it man. The love you have for motors and vehicles it's felt. Knowing certain people really do build our community it's love man
  • @PLABOI83
Man, I knew the mention if his passing was coming & it still got to me, then watching you get emotional at the end hit me & I got emotional too.... Paul Walker was a different breed. He might be gone but his legacy will live on. Thank you & all the team at Donut 🍩 for this video ♥️
  • What most people don't know is that Paul was a marine biology major. He worked with great whites in Mexico. He was a deck hand on National Geographic special and was not even the host or anything. Dude was just a grunt on the boat. I was a marine biology minor and I watched it and was like "oh wow that's Paul Walker"...dude had a heart of gold...his light went out way too soon. 😢

I still remember bugging mom for months to take me to the first f&f movie and the night the movie came out, cars everywhere rocking all sorts of mods I have never seen in my life. That was the night I learned that regular everyday sports cars can be as fast if not faster then the exotics I grew up loving. At 10 years old, that was the night I became a car guy. 20 years later I'm still as obsessed and as nuts about it as I was then. Thank you Paul.
  • @Bennime_Once
