Today we'll travel to a school in Australia that's literally filled with Apple products... It's run by Adrian, president of the Australian Computer Museum, and it's quite simply the largest in box Apple collection in the world! He has every powerbook, every iMac, every PowerPC and every Intel, even posters and several old Apple products I've never even heard of... so buckle up because this tour is a fun one!

In February 2021 I sold a Power Mac G4 with original box on ebay to a buyer in Australia. Now I know who that buyer was after doing a little research on the username. Glad that it went to a good cause.
  • I'd love to see Apple work with this guy to create a definitive public Apple Museum; he must have a ton of stuff they don't even have themselves.

Speaking of packaging- We recently bought a new MacBook Air M1 at Bestbuy (unfortunately it wasn't $400) for my wife...it came directly from Apple however. I realized Apple even designed the cardboard shipping box. When you opened the shipping box, as you opened the flap, the MacBook box would mechanically eject by about 1/2" to 1" to present the boxed MacBook to you. I think my iPhone 13 Pro shipping box did something similar back then. I kind of felt bad throwing away the shipping box because of how elaborate it was. Maybe do an entire episode on just packaging and shipping boxes one day.

Watching because I like the spin Luke takes on seemingly simple stories like this

I usually dislike large collection of products like this, I think of them as kind of a consumeristic hoard of some sense, but I can't help but appreciate this guy's enthusiasm and care towards his collection. Pretty cool!

This video made me realize I needed something in my life I’ve never even considered before: Mint-condition Apple posters! Or, really any technology company’s posters (like Samsung, Sony, HTC, etc). Gonna have to start checking eBay because I never knew I needed that (and I’m sure you can get many of the less well-loved brands for very cheap). Looking at this guy’s poster collection was actually more interesting to me than the actual products! I would frame and hang them all throughout my house if I were him! It may ruin the value but it looks like he has more than enough to spare! I could spend an entire day in that place, I swear! Thanks Luke!

This is such a love letter to all collectors on the filed - it is just WOW... and when Adrian says : at 04:07 "I don't know how much it cost... but... i am an idiot" ... i feel you my friend... i have a lot of retro computers and other bits (close to 500 items - so nothing close to yours) - and it is like that when you find something "i just bought it because i am an idiot" :D My wife agrees with my self-assessment :D Absolute congratulations on this collection, dedication and knowledge. And of course, great video

Get all the batteries out, now! Seriously, leaking batteries in old computers will irremediably destroy them.
  • I have a collection of some 300 vintage computers (not Apple specific), and I feel bad about how much room it takes and that I can't really enjoy every piece because there's just too much. But buying a school to house my gear.. lol.. I am simultaneously in awe and terrified of having a need to do that. Great video!

Really happy to see this museum get the attention it deserves! I know Adrian has put a lot of time and energy into it for the past few years, but this is the first video I’ve seen of it.
  • @FoxyThePirate
I would cry walking into that building for the first time everything is so beautiful

Incredible collection, I discovered and subscribed to this channel with the iPod touch 4th sealed unboxing video, great content, great work Luke, keep it up!
  • This is like the ultimate dream for a kid who enters the biggest candy store I feel your excitement Luke with so much sensory overload I’m glad there is someone who appreciates the beauty of Apple what it used to be many years ago when Steve was still alive now today they are slowlygoing downhill my God this is awesome I’m speechless with words
  • @peppermintpig974
Love it! I have a handful of sealed Mac products and vintage hardware including Newtons but it is absolutely nothing like this, and those posters are a real treat to see. Big iPod fan so those are cool to see! Thanks for doing this great video. Good to see the Homer app, too!
  • @carlospcpro
The world need a YouTube channel unboxing and reviewing every apple product inside this building.
  • @erotech1
He literally liked the posters more then the products! 😂
  • @brightboxstudio
It’s nice that this place exists, because it makes my closet of vintage Apple gear seem slightly less excessive.
  • @JamesTenniswood
I'd love to see a full length cut. Such an amazing collection
  • @DanThomas1161
