Fantastic results...LOL was anyone else dying of suspense the whole time?...OMG will the barrier hold?!! Will she finish the pour before the resin hardens??? Will that wax paper peel off?!! It was better than an Alfred Hitchcock movie..LOL I was so invested in it!!! Fantastic Job!

  • Beautiful! Finally, a resin geode that actually looks like a geode! Thanks for the tips.
  • This is the first time that I've seen anyone do a geode and it came out beautiful. I was impressed.😍😀🙋

I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis at the age of 13. Most of life has been spent in and out of hospitals to this day. To me art became not only a way to pass time, but most importantly art became medicine to help me cope with the excruciating physical pain and emotional toll. As long as I'm working on piece I have a reason to get out of bed and a reason to make it to tomorrow if at least to see how my projects turns out. Now in my mid 30s, I spend lots of time at home, far more than I'd like, and my art takes longer to complete depending on my pain. Today was an exceptionally painful one but watching this video, witnessing your talent bring such beauty to life made me so happy I have no words. The beauty in your work only compares to the mother nature's talent. Life and time have a greater significance to me, perhaps because of my struggles, bucket lists and goals to some may be simple lists but to me they are important as food or air. I say this because since watching your videos, it has become a life goal to someday have a piece of your art in the most prominent area of my home to see it and fill my soul with joy. Similarly, I added a new line to my bucket list and learn to work with resin and make art of own. Thank you from the deepest corners of heart for sharing your talent and art with the world and especially with this humble fan from Miami.

Wow I absolutely love how the paint pens accentuated everything on the geode. I think I might have to try something like this. I love getting on YouTube and finding new things then I can create myself. I don't copy other people's stuff so just the fact that you taught me how to do a geode, helps me in deciding the colors I want use in mine. What a beautiful creation you made. Take care and God bless Deb
  • 1st time we meet ... An idea... have you tried soaking it in hot water to melt any remaining wax & dissolve any remaining paper? I havent worked with resin yet. It's on the shelf waiting for the right project to 'try it'/'spend it' on & this is it! I'm going to make this with my 13 yr old grandson! He's gonna LOVE it!! We spent quite some time at Christmas at the Michael's craft store looking, many multiple times, at every single special rock they had to find just the right one for me to gift him & it was a geode in those colours that he chose. There was always a feature he liked about one & then a different feature that he liked would be prominent in another, & he had to keep weighing his degree of admiration for the individual features themselves against the percentage of the rock encompassed by said feature & also take into account any other specialties like colour & sparkle they each may have had to offer & I was right there with him in the agony over each eliminated rock because we'd have preferred to take them ALL home & enjoy the magic of every one of the special features they had in stock. But the gift was for just one rock.... the one that was the most precious & beautiful to him of them all. It was a terrific lesson in the practise of making choices if you have the time & patience to help them work through each option, & then all the choosing then 2nd guessing & deliberation over the 2nd choices & so on. (Of course I ended up buying him 2 afterall because neither of us could choose which stone had the feature we were willing to leave behind. & sooooooo.... He will be thrilled to be able to make his own huge geode and incorporate any or all of his favoured features as well as choose his own colours. Maybe if we allow ample curing time we can keep adding layers every weekend until we have what looks like a whole 3D geode rock! Have you tried that yet? I'll let you know if it works though it'll be a while from now.

Beautiful piece! Suggestion...try parchment instead of wax paper. You find it in the baking aisle on a big roll, and NOTHING sticks to it, not even E6000.
  • @faithbaez4022
She's so accurate she pours the paint so perfectly she's a professional
  • @davidhill1220

I'm impressed, both as a geologist and as an artist. Has me thinking. Hmmmm...
  • @annawimpey5307
Loved the color combo. Could you do a tutorial on creating a geode slice that could be hung in front of windows like a sun catcher? It would be a wonderful craft project.
  • @bjerles

  • @KimberlyMWylie
The geode is gorgeous! Love the idea of using a hot glue gun for the form and incorporating it into the geode! That's brilliant!
  • Absolutely beautiful can't wait to give this a try so much cheaper than getting moulds!! Genius!
  • @jstansifer3690
