  • I don't understand why people hit dislike on a video like this. The man forged a tool to make fire and it works, period.

Man, you are one of the tidiest craftmen I've ever seen. I love your work, it's beautiful. Well done!
  • @LucillenRory
I love the way you repurpose old steel into such beautiful objects.

This was one of the first things we were tought to forge in the one year blacksmithing course I am taking now!
  • @752brickie
That is amazing. I have always wanted a little blacksmiths shop to mess with. We always had a big forge on the rigs to heat and dress our drilling bits. Always made nail bars , tongs etc.

#406 Grandpa was a trained blacksmith. I regret that I never got to see him in action. Thankyou for your creative and instructional videos!

I usually end up somewhere on youtube where I start to question the way that my life is going. But I enjoyed your video. Mabe Things will be better now.

As soon as I saw the Striker, I knew that was mine. You made me one last year. I can tell you that it works 100%. I use it with a real piece of Flint and my home made Char Cloth. All it takes is one Strike and I have an ember burning. A Shower of Sparks actually. I haven't tried it yet, but there is no doubt in my mind that in a dire situation, I could also light a Birds Nest or a small handful of Seasel twine if I didn't have any char cloth. Plus, it helps that your initials are the same as mine. TA are engraved on mine so no one can claim it as theirs. $35 Canadian dollars well spent.

I have to say that you are one of the most meticulous craftsmen on the web--your attention to detail is inspiring! I really appreciate your videos!

Beautiful forging, as always. Keep up the vids, Torbjorn, your work is an inspiration to myself, and I am sure many other folks beginning this fine art.
  • @MrStalch
Skillfully done, craftsmanship at it's best and very pleasing and satisfying to watch, with a beautiful and functional tool produced at the outcome. How can ANYONE "dislike" a film like this?
  • @saetmusic
What beautiful work! To make this means you are part of a whole system that knows how to use a flint-striker!
  • @SamoScopom
Great music as well as nice shots. Of course the product looks amazing!
  • @Lancars
I like this. I love it when old tools are re-purposed and given new meaning in another form.
