BTech Radios is my go-to GMRS radio brand when it comes to offroad radio communication. For a while, I've been running their 50v2 mounted radio and it has been a great com on the trails. In this video, I will be removing my 50v2 radio from my truck, but it's not because the radio had any issues, it was just my personal choice to change to a different model they have.

I changed out my 50v2 for the newer model the 20v2. It does have less power but, I love that all the radio controls are on the handheld speaker microphone and not on the unit. The best part about this design is being able to hide the main unit and keep it out of the way to eliminate clutter in the cabin of the truck.

Any Amazon links you buy from will help support the channel at no extra cost to you!

Had the exact same experience, kinda hated the 50 watt. Doing the same thing.

I always wire my radios directly to the battery. That way the radio can be on without having the key in/near the ignition on accessory. Imagine being out camping and losing your key, or some other unforeseen circumstance where you're away from your truck, and other friends need to use the radio. It happens... Good Luck!
