At this point he probably really regrets selling the clean title 812…

Strad is embracing his baldness with the thumbnails

Strad, make sure to look at the salvage yards in Dubai. I’ve already seen salvage 812s popping up after the recent floods. Chances are if you could find a strut tower there, it wouldn’t be destroyed. Because it’s an aluminum part, it shouldn’t rust, but you could still double check corrosion.
  • Dave being spotted is super cool. He's probably my favorite automotive based individual ever. His designs are timeless and he's an actual nice guy in real life.

James, I worked in aerospace for a lot of years. We used a piece of equipment that a company called Direct Dimensions Inc both sells as well as offers services to produce an exact digital copy. The digital copy can be turned into a CAD file to have a part produced from what everyone now calls "Billet" aluminum, steel or laser 3D printing. Before I'd use a cast part, I'd get a part produced from a solid block of aluminum.
  • the strut towers, get a 3d scanner, scan the driver side one, make a cad model, mirror it, and have someone like dsport cnc you biller ones. Almost guarantee its cheaper than oem.
  • That's why I have such distain for supercar brands. There's absolutely no reason for it to be that expensive. They only charge that much because they can.

Go ask travarish he is now the warranty and certified in damage exotic car 😂

How disrespectful would it be to put the Ferrari drivetrain in the Lamborghini Gallardo?
  • @AJStreator
I like that he’s uploading regularly on both channels now 🔥
  • Love the transparency James! We all make mistakes so don’t push yourself down about it. Do what you believe is the best for you!! Enjoy the holiday week!

You can always mount the 812 on your wall if all else fails. Would be sick!
  • @i000_
Damn, I can't believe I've been watching this channel for 9 or 10 years. Im still not tired of it. Many channels have come and gone in my life, but this one remains along with Neeme and Brad.

If anything else doesn't work, you can always put the Ferrari on the wall and the engine with transmission as a coffee table

Hey Strad, I’m an automotive engineer, that 30K pressure die cast aluminum part cannot cost more than 250 bucks (I used to work for a company that made those for Mercedes Benz and other brands). Don’t waste tens of thousands of dollars. Call a supplier in the US that specialized in engineered billet machined parts (DJ Precision Machine, Speed Factory Racing, or anyone that has their own billet products) and ask them to 3D scan, design an alternative strut tower solid component, and machine the part to dimension. No way that will be more than 30K and it will be more structurally rigid as well as better looking.

There are patents on how thick the plastic is to ensure the airbag deploys correctly.

Bro you gotta cut your losses on that Ferrari. 34k for a part is like a middle finger from them to you.
  • Exotic Auto Recycling. They have a few of these listed (Front Frame Suspension Casting, is what the part is listed as) eBay for $2500. I don't know your exact model. And by the looks of my research the same part fit several different models which the dealer would never tell you that.
  • @LouisContentSA
The 812 has to work. I wanna see your new DD kit. Ooo Momma!
  • @OnyxCobra
For something like the seat belts you may not need to buy new ones, a lot of times you can send them to a place like Safety Restore and they will rebuild them with new pretensioners and stuff. You could also go with a custom belt color at that time as well if you wanted.
