I tried using a level 50 hundo Mega Latios in Master League and got countered so hard by all the Mega Gyarados. I ended up joining the Mega Gyarados crowd and my win rate improved significantly.

I invested my 500K dust on two pokemon ( Gyarados and Gengar ) i powered up gyarados but later realized i dont have enough mega energy ( never mega evolved before ) then i invested in my gengar but at last both didn't disappointed me. At start gyarados was giving tough competition to most mons and even mega's and then mega gengar BOOMING everything at last and for closer i choosed S.Machamp and machamp did decent job Really my investment didn't disappointed me
