We may think of troubled child stars, on-set feuds, and celebrity gossip as products of the social media age, but they have been going on in Hollywood from the very beginning. The Golden Age of Hollywood gave us some of the greatest movies and most iconic movie stars of all time, but it also had some truly tragic stories. Early TV had its fair share of challenges as well, as plenty of talented actors found themselves typecast in sitcom roles. From the funniest comedians to the child stars who struggled as adults, take a look at these tragic real-life stories from classic cinema.

My grandfather was born in 1895 and died in 1977 when I was 11 years old . He was a real hard ass man you think his face would have cracked if he ever smiled. He worked at the same job for over 30 years and never missed one day of work! It was odd to see him as a HUGE Stooge fan though. He would watch them every time their reruns were on TV. To see him sit and laugh like a school kid watching them is one of one of things I remember about him the most. So whenever I hear or see anything about The Three Stooges it reminds me of grandpa.

My family always loved Jackie Gleeson and Don Knotts. This compilation is amazing. ❀πŸ₯Ί it always disappoints me how child stars' parents could bleed them dry, its terrible and disgusting. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
  • Shorts ended when I was born. But I was lucky as a toddler to enjoy the three stooges. Curly and Mo... made me laugh so much, they were naughty.
