The US border crisis is “clearly a weakness” for Vice President Kamala Harris, says University of Sydney political scientist Professor Simon Jackman.

“If you’re the Trump-Vance campaign, you are going hard at that,” he told Sky News Australia.

“They’ve already loaded the gun so to speak, how heavily immigration figured in Trump’s acceptance speech at the convention.”
