Minnesota’s 20 point comeback was the largest in a Game 7 in the play-by-play era (1997-98), passing
Cleveland Cavaliers, 18 points vs Magic (R1, 2024)

Minnesota reaches the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2004 when they faced the Lakers (2-4). This is the only other time Minnesota has made it to the Western Conference Finals

This is the 27th time that a team defeated the defending champions after losing to them the postseason prior. Most recently, the Warriors defeated the Cavaliers in the 2017 Finals (4-1) after losing to them in the 2016 NBA Finals (3-4).

Karl-Anthony Towns joins Kevin Garnett (2003-04) as the only Timberwolves to go total 200 points and 100 rebounds in a playoff run

  • It’s so hilarious that the nuggets made fun of the lakers for blowing a 20 point lead, then their season ends off a 20 point blown lead😂
  • @macpumperkinz
Losing with a 20 point lead AND the MVP AND home court is absolutely mind boggling
  • @kamfisher1714
When Gobert made that circus shot I knew they were going to win because there is no way
  • As a Timberwolves fan I can’t tell how happy I was when they won this game. This is our second trip to the Western Conference finals, the first came all the way back in 2004. Winning game 6 by 45 points definitely gave the team the motivation to make this comeback, I went craY when RUDY GOBERT made that midrange fadeaway Let’s Go Wolves! Update: we lost to the Mavs in 5. However, knowing that we had to take down the defending champs to get there, I’m happy with our postseason run. Let’s keep the roster together and improve! #LETSGOWOLVES
  • the CROWD was wild this game and props. Even during the wolves run the crowd was screaming both ways. They knew they were witnessing something special, they were witnessing why we watch these games

The Timberwolves's bench is so supportive and fun to watch. I love their reactions it's literally your best bros hyping you up after every little success.

Underratedly, Conley’s veteran presence has been the game changer for the wolves

9:15 what a great moment for towns. Ridiculed his whole career. A thunderous slam to put away the champs in their house. Take that haters!
  • @d-zaynextreme
Right now, this is probably the biggest win in franchise history for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Not only making their first Western Conference Finals since 2004, but knocking out the defending NBA Champions.
  • @PoorPenman

  • @CaptBones-bq5ur
They say Jordan couldn’t play in today’s game but every time somebody gets in trouble they go to the backdown fadeaway ‼️
