So this is how Ralph's career in the mob started. 😂
  • I love how Guido was making his way to the backyard without even acknowledging Joel.

The house used for Joel's house is right around the corner from Cameron's house in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." It's also about half a mile away from both Jake's house from "Sixteen Candles," and Wyatt's house in "Weird Science." Though, Wyatt's house underwent a major renovation. It looks similar, but not exactly the same, today. All are in Highland Park, IL.

”WHO, you don’t work for me??” 😂
  • Thanks for posting. Such a well constructed scene- it portrays north chicago upper middle class suburbs perfectly. Joe P. plays this scene so well. His character never really disrespects Joel and is smart enough to know not to draw this out and have the cops called. But he shows just enough edge and danger that it has much more impact than if this character was just a goon or typical gangster. The creepy mentor thing works as well as there is only about a 10 years age difference between them. Gotta watch the whole movie ago sometime instead of just clips.

They sure don't make movies like this anymore.
  • You gotta respect Guidos character, he's actually very tolerating and polite with Joel but he's showing him a very subtle toughness

    Words of wisdom="In a sluggish economy,never,ever f*** with another man's livelihood"

So this classic film was the breakout film for both cruise as the quintessential leading man and pantoliano as an amazing villain. Cruise went on to be arguably the biggest movie star ever and proved he could act along the way too. Pantoliano never got that kind of fame but has still proved to be one of the better actors around and surely a success in his own right. I wonder having shared this classic film as a breakout are they friendly 30 years later?

Joey Pants! Great scene. I love how Joel is all polite even though he's scared s**tless.

Guido long before he changed his name to Ralph Cifaretto, went to jail, moved to New Jersey and ended up working for the Soprano crew

Damn is that Joe Pants? He's so young in this.
