Please oh please do another one. Maybe a week or a month perhaps. The longer the journey the more i love watching it omg I didn’t know how much i love watching this type of survival thing😍

A useful tip when preparing those small clams. In Jamaica we called them cockles. After you catch them, keep them in a container of water for a couple of hours or a day if necessary. What will happen is they will spit out a lot of sand that they have been storing, that way you will have a more cleaner soup with less or no sand in it.
  • For future adventures in places with coconut trees, learn to weave sections of the leaves to create both thatch and a sleeping pad. You can also weave platters, etc. Fresh leaves are much better than dead ones.

I think slowly adding time to your previous experience is probably the safest method on any return adventure. I'd say go a full week next time, and that works out for you, tack on more day for the next trip. You don't want to throw yourself into a situation where it's TRULY a do-or-die situation until you're 100% it's not going to be a completely miserable experience. Health and Safety always first.
  • This was so awesome, thanks Dustin! As for the next adventure, id suggest 10 days for 240 hours, as 3+ weeks is tough for some people who have to take care of pets and stuff back home too, not to mention after 10 days it might get lonely. Loving these adventures, keep it up, cheers mate!
  • I dunno how this doesn't have millions of views. Watched and enjoyed every minute of both episodes. You show all the little details and all the cool stuff you see. Would love to see you do 2 weeks or a month doing something like this. Earned a new sub pal.
  • I loved this series, thank you so very much for doing it. I could watch many more hours if this. I would have loved to see you focus on using those plastic bottles to make more fresh water…it would be really cool to see how much you could get and a longer duration out there. Can’t wait for more!!
  • The long term effects would definitely be interesting- physical as well as psychological. I could imagine that being completely alone and isolated (and sort of "trapped") would really start to bother a person after a week or two

Dude… gotta be a month. You’ve got to bring three strangers, too. See what you can achieve. Lot of ‘primitive life’ channels out there. Have the four of you binge some for a couple of days, then you try the stuff out for real. Good videos. Be safe be well.
  • So entertaining and beautiful, what a view! This was really enjoyable. Living vicariously through your adventures. Thank you for bringing us along.

27:03 That's probably the cleverest still I've ever seen anyone make out of trash! Well done you!

awesome series! i would love to see more like this and maybe a series where you work on a more permanent base camp? always fun to see what creativity and survival brings our of people!

Thanks Dustin. I was just hanging out for the part 2! Massive improvement on your first island castaway video. Sadly the rubbish is still around. Great work and thanks again for another great video.

A 30 day challenge would be very cool. This was a great mini series. Shame about all the pollution, even if it does help you out.
  • @michaels2569
Great video man! Love the dedication to only using what you have and find. Too many "survival" people tend to have clips of them catching a monster fish but you can clearly tell its already dead. Stay for a full week or two!
  • @OpinionatedMonk
Just discovered your channel recently, and I had to tell you I think the idea of this is brilliant and I love your delivery in your videos. This channel should really have millions of views!
  • @ArielleViking
That bamboo straw worked really good. Yeah, Coco will miss you... lolz.. That solar still worked nicely. Awesome video, I love these. ❤👍 Yeah, try two weeks.

Stumbled across this under reccomended as i follow a couple others who do videos like this. Would love to see a 7 days one with knife and everyday supplies as if you randomly got stranded somewhere. great work mate from New Zealand!
  • @mattuc2023
Yeah man a two week challenge would be epic to see, I love the commentary too. You sound pretty genuine and that’s hard to find these days. Keep up the great work man.
  • These videos have been an absolute delight, brought me back to my time in the African bush. Subbed, cannot wait to see your future adventures!!
