They should really release a next-gen patch for 60fps. The HDR is just not good enough and I hate having to change my tv settings. This should all be done in the game imo. I play RDR2 in non-HDR, feels way more natural and how they intended. Thanks for the vid!

This is one of the greatest games ever made. If aliens landed on earth and were curious about video games and you had one to choose to impress this would have to be the top choice imo. It's meticulously crafted and has plenty of features to make it future proof on pc.

Thank you so much straight to the point

It was deemed "fake HDR" because of the time it took to develop the game (8 years) : when development started around 2010, HDR wasn't even a thing.

Rockstar initially launched this game with a standard 709Rec but then threw it "into" an HDR container so it read Rec. 2020. It was an absolute mess and the patch took FOR-EVER. Awesome to see you run through this one GT!
  • I've just tried the guide to fix the washed out HDR that is on PCGW and it looks quite better. Highlights are actually bright without clipping, and there is a bit more saturation.

I tried to adjust RDR2 display settings the whole day for my LG NANO866 TV playing on my XSX. When I turn in dolby vision it's so dark and blurred out I almost cannot see anything. It's so annoying Dolby vision will be recommended over HDR, but looks so bad. I like this living look of bright and shining colors not that washed out look.

My game on PC does not show HDR settings anywhere. I FIGURED IT OUT> you must be in full screen mode to access HDR

I’m using these settings on my lgc1 for a game that hasn’t received a next gen patch yet the game looks absolutely stunning the 30fps didn’t bother me as much as I thought it would after about 10mins or so of playing I didn’t notice

Love your video as alway! Can you make video about HDR setting for Nioh 2 for LG C1?
  • @xenmaster1987
Do you guys recommend using Dolby vision or hdr if you’re playing on series x?
  • @SuperEjizz
My sdr mode still looks more colorful and vibrant than the HDR gamer mode even after adjusting. Maybe it's the auto HDR from windows that's doing a better job than the in-game HDR?

Just picked up the Samsung odyssey oled g8, still toying with settings, new to oled and hdr so still scratching my head with the settings

No PS4 games enable VRR on PS5. One thing that I found strange is that in the game Plague Tale: Requiem is that it is at 40Fps and with VRR and even then I feel the crashes, why does this happen? The VRR doesn't exist so I don't feel these crashes?
