Taking a gap year can seem like an incredibly scary thing and in some ways it can be. All your friends are going off to university and you're staying at home in the same place but it doesn't have to be like that. I dont want to be one of those people but taking a gap year was one of the best things i did and it really allowed me to reevaluate where i wanted to go and what i wanted to do. i got to do things that i really enjoyed and it really allowed me to reapply to dentistry and (finally) get in.

    hey Have you come across anyone who didn't get their predicted grades in y12? i'm planning to take a gap year bc i know i won't get dental offers due to my poor predicted would this put me on a disadvantage though if i apply after a gap year? Thanks in advance

    Obviously, you have to send your application off by October and by then you may not have done much of your gap year plans so do you talk about them in the future tense. Also, what if you mention something in your PS that you planned to do but were unable to fulfil.

    Hey. do you universities want more than just AAA in a levels or would AAA and high ucat be enough to secure interviews?

    If I don't apply for dentistry in the year I'm doing my a-levels due to low predicted grades, will that affect getting an offer after a gap year? i know I would get rejected straight away if I applied now, but I want to apply after a gap year if I get the grades in the actual exams.
