Anyone else rewatch this regularly just for the joy it brings? ❤

I'm a tough old bastard so I only watch this when I'm alone and no-one can see me moved to tears by this perfect moment.

the fact you play YOUR song in front of your hero...having her name in lyrics...AND move her to tears. Not single one of us can f*cking imagine such feeling.......All the best girls....this is just awesome
  • @Ambuttx
Emmy Lou crying before they even start singing is relatable
  • Man, just imagine you're pushing 70 and you hear these beautiful young girls that weren't born when you were even at the peak of your career singing a song about you in those sweet, clear voices. It must be such an incredibly humbling feeling
  • These girls are genius in their own right. It will never get old hearing their songs and their harmonies. 🎉

Drummer helps to make the song laying down a study track. He did a great job. So consistent.

I love the fact that the King of Sweden is sitting next to Emmylou and bobbing his head the the beat.

Showing up at an Emmylou tribute night with a song titled "Emmylou", written when nobody was watching, is the ultimate flex. Can't watch this without tears.
  • @richardbud
I know she's crying but I have no idea how she keeps it together so well. Imagine hearing a song that two people had written because they were so inspired by you. I'd be rolling on the floor bawling my eyes out.

Making an artist cry is even greater than a standing ovation. Ladies you picked a great role model.

Sibling harmonies are one thing. But to write a song that bittersweet and beautiful, and perform it for one of that song's inspirations and characters, at an event where she is being recognized for her life's work, a part of the narrative of the very song your playing? Holy friggin' wow! Not quite sure how they pulled off. Amazing. Talk about rising to an occasion.

I met her Emmylou I had a clothing store in L.A. And she promised to send me an album and she did

Emmylou is as beautiful today as she was in the 80s!
  • @averystorm
You know you're good when you can bring Emmilou Harris to tears, and Paul Simon gives you a standing ovation.

This sounds identical to the album version holy shit. They're so amazing.
  • I can’t imagine how heartwarming it is to hear another generation of talented women carrying on your legacy.
