The main reason no one wants to buy Falcon Lair is that it was demolished years ago, and it's a vacant lot behind the gate. So there's that.

No one wants to buy these estates because of the restoration cost and probably the property taxes.
  • @dhutch457
If there was a dark shadow seen around the fireplace at Falcon's Lair, chances are it was Doris Duke's, after all, she died in the house, Valentino didn't.

the fatty arbuckle scandal party didnt happen at his house, it happened at a hotel in San Francisco
  • @casey4602
I never heard anyone ever say 3 dollars million until this video.

Buster Keaton's Italian Villa is definitely NOT falling apart. I was there nearly 25 years ago when it was bought and beginning to be restored. I went to a dinner afterwards, it was restored and sold. None of the photos shown are of his home except for that very last, color photo and that is proof it isn't decaying, he sold it in the 30s because of divorce. He had a hidden movie screen , and remnants of projectors upstairs, but it's most certainly restored and lived in, there is even a new house built next door, sadly blocking the view of it.

There's a lot of inaccuracies in this video. It's a shame someone didn't do their research correctly, because the subject is very interesting. Pia Zadora bought Pickfair and ripped it down. Falcon Lair was demolished fully in 2006. Fatty Arbuckle hated that name, he requested people called him by his correct name - Roscoe. Virginia Rappe was allegedly assaulted in a San Francisco hotel, not in Roscoe Arbuckles home.

So all of these homes have the same problem - they’re old and the upkeep is too expensive.
  • People are not Scared 😱 of the Ghost 👻 but, the Price 😵‍💫😬
  • If I could afford it, I would absolutely buy the house with the hidden rooms and secret passageways.
  • While Valentino's home has actually been torn down, there is Valentino's first apartment in LA that still exists. Its closed off and in tatters, but if I had a few milllion I'd buy and restore it. Its from the 20s and had indoor plumbing, was actually a 2bth 2bdrm that he shared with another actor. If you search Valentinos first apartment you'll get a channel called Jordan The Lion and he does a great tour of the apartment.

Such a shame these magnificent homes are just too expensive to retore and maintain but I would love to see these beautiful old homes love old Hollywood the stars were considered a type of American royalty
  • @dv6800
Clara Bow’s house had.6 bedrooms and “seventy-one two” bathrooms. Surely a one of a kind property!
  • Wow, so much wrong information. The home they talk about for Gloria Swanson isn't even in Beverly Hills, it's in New Jersey. Also Roscoe Arbuckle and Norma Talmadge homes aren't located in Beverly Hills, they're in Los Angeles by USC.

I cant believe that these houses wont sell because they are reported to be haunted. I know many people who would love to buy a haunted house. Its because the houses are old (possible expensive updates), out of the way, and expensive to maintain that make them unsalable.
  • Would love to be haunted by Rudolf Valentino.....if I believed in such things.
  • @cheleshows
:face-blue-smiling:CDs were not a thing in Gloria Swanson' day.
  • It is hard to understand some of the reasons this video states some houses in this video are for sale or nobody wishes to buy them. Some of these former houses are not even there anymore.
