i personally can't relate to matilda but harry wrote it so beautifully and accurately that i cried just the same as people that could relate.

little freak will always be my absolute favorite. it hits a spot in my brain i can’t describe. the melody is literally addictive, i will never get tired of it. it sounds so tragically beautiful

the 'u never saw my birthmark' line is about how you can love someone and know so much about them but not see them, fully. harry has a birthmark on his hand and its about how his lover just never saw it, and by not seeing it then they never saw him

for anyone who does not know: the bridge in matilda where he says “you’re just in time make your tea and your toast” is him inviting us into his home to feel safe and loved and encouraged to be who we are. he’s saying you can find family that isnt blood, even if it’s him and the fan base surrounding him bc he knows he’s saved so many peoples lives and so many people gained their own little family through his existence.
