I am glad your turf Only Fans is going well and you are pleased...! Another pnw comment, we put white cloud dolomite, mined in Tonasket Washington, at the time of tillage. It is not powder, it is crystalline, similar to sand and breaks down very slowly over time. We do this because a portion of our good soils are peat and this is great for blue and cranberries. At planting we use a small amount of map or if it is a pasture then rock phosphate.

Awesome show and always something I have been curious about out here in PNW. Hear a lot always suggesting put it down but not during seeding as to not potentially bind up other nutrients (npk). Appreciate this and think I’m gonna go a year without a lime application, soil PH usually in the 5.8-6.1 range I was curious if there is much difference between dolomitic & calcitic lime when looking at the studies?

So how does this tie in with the often preached "starter fert is necessary when seeding" as it seems like the addition of K within the starter fert is at best not doing anything and at worst causing harm?

On the flip side. If nutrients are at/above MLSN levels but P is 100ppm melich3. Applying P at renovation is a waste? Limit P apps until is drops down. I fear 100ppm is hurting my tall fescue stand.
