Before and After! Finding an organization system for our supplements

Published 2022-02-01
A couple weeks ago I published a kitchen tour and revealed my counter of supplements. A viewer commented and recommended a vertical type of storage, which was a wonderful idea and I found these magnetic shelves to sit on the side of the fridge.

As a doctor who works with a system of remedies for rebalancing physiology, I advise patients to find a means of having remedies and supplements at-hand in an accessible way and a visually appealing manner... in effect... I advise them to make a place of honor for those items that support the choice they’ve made to build their lives to a healthier level. Don’t hide them... respect them because they honor a life choice. Thank you for sharing the avenue that you created for respectful storage and display.

About the hooks you are keeping.... when we first moved into our new home I ordered new shower curtains. They came with plastic hangers, that are a little different shape than regular round ones ( more of a tear drop shape) and I wasn't going to use them, as i already had chosen much nicer ones to use. But something told me to keep them. So I did, in my file drawer where we keep all kinds of office supplies, rubber bands, push pins, pens, scissors, etc. Last years I got beautiful new white Christmas wreaths that I wanted to hang on our living room windows, but wasn't sure how to hang them on the curtain rod. Then I remembered those funny little plastic hangers, and they worked perfectly !! I'm glad I listened to that little voice, Now I will use them on those wreaths for many years to come. tfs 🥰❄☃☔🏜💗✝🔆

My favorite part of this whole video was watching how you processed and talked through the hook consideration. The almost two minutes of consideration was loving and kind reasoning with yourself.

Even though the bottles are still out of a cupboard, they don’t make as much visual clutter on the fridge. The new storage solution looks great!

Hi! I work as a nurse with elderly patients. We usually put pills in a weekly pill dispenser with weekdays and time of day written on the dispenser. Then you can store pill boxes out of sight and only have to open them once a week to prepare next week

I finally settled on keeping mine in a breadbox, and keeping husband's in a plastic bin on the counter

I love this, it looks nice, and I have the same problem, unfortunately this will not work on my fridge because of where it is. But it did give me an idea, and I am a visual organizer, thanks for the inspiration.

Wow! Major transformation! Looks great! I also fill a 7 day pill box so I don’t open 6 bottles daily. There are weekly pill containers for those that have larger capsules and multiple supplements to store. ☮️

Wow those are some heavy-duty magnetic shelves!!! That looks like a great set-up!

I found a weekly container with huge capacity. If I have to open all those bottles every day, I won't take them. I actually pack three weeks at a time. I have smaller weekly for things I take first thing in the morning, and at bedtime. The extra 2 weeks and the original bottles sit in a sterlite box container that sits on my bedroom short bookshelf. I keep the big weekly under my desk and every night I put the supplements for the next day in a little custard dish on my desk and take them throughout the morning. The smaller weekly strips for morning and evening I keep on my nightstand so I see them and remember to take them.

Ooh, organizing tips...love it! Ridding of stuff is much easier for me than organizing!

You could put your calendar on the door there or on the blank wall between the door and the cupboard

what a perfect solution! I think I need some of those shelves for spray bottles/cleaning solution. hmmm

I have sort of the same issue but these are prescriptions. They say not to store them in the bathroom but where. I have them in a clear box just sitting. We do use those pill minders where you put the entire week in one container and that works the best. Thanks for the ideas.

My mom has been using Standard Processing for years! She also has that many! 😆
