What is this funky looking oversized drill and how does it work?
Yes is the same Welder I showed last week that I picked up from TEMU.

The TEMU page for this welder is currently down. Here is a link to one on Amazon:

IF you want a really cheap one I have tested this one out as well:

You can watch that video here:    • Cheap Amazon Handheld TIG and Stick W...

We're going to test the this hand held welder and how it compares to a regular welder. Also seeing if it's worth buying and if I'm keeping it!

Even at a couple pounds only using that for an extended period of time, trying to be steady, it is certainly only practical for little welds, but I am impressed that it does work.
  • @Coach_BigMac
I think it's a good tool for quick welds around the house or beginners doing small tasks.

I bought a 45 dollar HONE brand stick welder and have been get impressed. It’s 120 amps and burns great. The he amperage it says is accurate and it’s very smooth. Burned 12 pounds of 3/32 7018 on my flatbed build and have had no problems so far

I actually have this. It's legit as a beginner tool. I've used it for 4 hours learning to weld yesterday. It's doing great at teaching me. I've had none of the issues with the clamp, but I want to replace it with a magnet regardless.

This seems like a great solution for people on a trip. If you were out and needed a quick repair and had the fuel to run a generator or use an AC inverter. I can see this being something to repair a broken metal piece for a trailer or some other repair

Seems like a good little low footprint emergency welder for those times at the track or trail when someone has a generator or battery box handy to make a trail or track repair on broken motor mounts or suspension components to get home.

there are few random instances where I need to weld something super minor and this thing would be PERFECT. I don't really have the space for a full welder, nor the need. I might actually have to check this thing out.

I just brought one just to do small welds. i like it🤷🏽‍♂️ All in one it’s portable and it actually works.

i think this would be excellent for some occasional tacking out of the shop and having it in your vehicle / toolpack for emergencies
  • I been wondering about this welder. I glad you made a video on it. I think I’m going to get one just to keep in my truck so i can patch something in a pinch

This would be great for emergencies around a farm or out on construction sites that do not require welders on site normally. For say equipment repair or something.
  • @outdoorzone
This could be handy in an off-road situation to fix your rig to get back to camp!!!
  • It might be useful for larger projects like if you had to go up a ladder or something but I'll definitely add it to me space toolbelt would be better if it had a bracer type design with retractable cables and possibly replace/modify it to accept welding coil
  • Few years back I found an old Montgomery Ward buzzbox City yard sale I took his home clean it up clean up the contact points used to heavy set of jumper cables for the welding cables and it's been working sweet ever since it's only like 50 60 years old

I would try to swap the ground and the stinger. That way you can actually use it in a non perfect access environment

I have a 220 Hobart. I keep this close by. It's great for quick and easy job. Vers lugging around a 300 lb machine.
  • @darkshaman7087
Handy for a quick diy job, like I have a metal door on my shed and the weld in popping in the hinge and this would do the job.
  • @darzo7527
That's like welding with a Brick.....I prefer to use a stinger.

My brother just mailed me a mini Stick welder. The thing works great. It’s like 7 1/2 inches long I know that doesn’t sound right but we’re talking welders here! And it’s only like two or 3 pounds and 120 Amps!
