This year I took my nephews to Twitchcon 2019 in San Diego, CA.

Some context about the water issue:
When we got to the Best Western after our flight, we wanted to take showers before going to bed but there was no running water. We called the front desk and they told us it was a city wide issue and they were trying to fix it but did not know what the root of the issue was or when it would be fixed by.
After some back and forth between our hotel and Expedia, Expedia booked us a room at the Hilton!
We got about 3-4 hours of sleep and woke up bright and early for the first day of twitchcon.
