I was an athiest for a long time... i was born and raised Catholic. This channel has really helped me come back to faith and modesty. I filled 4 yard waste bags with clothes to take to the goodwill. I look forward to dressing in a way that honors god.

This is my take on clothes. For as long as we are properly dressed, not too revealing or inappropriate, that is okay. Not everyone have the money to buy nice clothes with the economy today. I have clothes that are very old but I make sure it's clean and pressed. Remember if you are poor and want to go to church, you are supposed to be able to go and receive the body and blood of Christ.

Love this! I love dressing up for my friends it just makes a lot of sense to do it for the lord even more so. I think some might argue that it is prideful but its something special when it is between you and the lord.

You don’t need to wear expensive clothes for Mass. You should wear what is within reason for your financial state in life. However, if your partying clothes is nicer than what you wear to Mass. Then, reconsider your priorities. Our culture emphasis doing things for your “self”. When we should do all things for God. That includes wearing our best on Sunday.

Thank you for this reminder. In our country people put their best clothes on when going to church. It is because you are going to visit the most important Person of your life. The clothes are to be modest unless you want to be given an extra one by the priest. We are recomanded to dress according to lithurgical calendar. But mostly people dress as confortably as they can, it is important to stay concentrared in church and not to disturb others concentrations.

Thank you! Now I don't feel quite as goofy for ironing my shirt and pants before Mass. Love the color/liturgical suggestion! Even if it's a watch band or something small to remind me.

i love this! to be honest, i clicked on this video expecting a condemning lesson on female modesty, but this was a very pleasant surprise! as someone who takes a lot of care in how i dress because i see my personal style as a form of self-expression, this was a great reminder that my style is also a reflection of my Heavenly Father and who He carefully crafted in His own image. thank you for the reminder :)

I have always dress in my best clothes for Mass to show my love and respect for the Lord. It makes me cry inside for the Lord when people come to Mass in ripped jeans, mini skirts, sweat suits, gym shorts and t-shirts and even pajamas. 😓

Thank you! I love this!! Personally, Ive discovered shawls, large scarves, to wear over my shoulders with dresses, jeans, etc. It reminds me of Mary wearing her "long mantles." I love it. I feel so close to Mary, wearing a large scarf or shawl as I go about my day! I love this! Thank you! I "knew" this in my heart, but didnt "know" this in my mind! You know, Id like to add, I feel the same: What would God want me to wear today. In fact, most every day, I pick an outfit out, "without even thinking." Its like God is picking it for me. One day, I wondered where a funky matching sweater was. I couldnt find it. So I prayed to God, "Oh God, Id love that sweater....where would it be." I was drawn to an area of my closet, and rummaged through and there was that sweater! I do believe, that "style," if dressed for God, for HIS PURPOSE, for HIS LOVE, IS LIKE PUTTING ON GOD, ALL OVER US, AS WE DRESS. It helps us to be closer to Him, Mary, Jesus, St. Joseph and the Saints. Thank you!

Dressing nice and taking care of yourself is not vanity. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Just as we adorn the church with beauty, we too should present ourselves well, to be good stewards of what God has given us.
  • This talk is so important and beautifully stated! Most “fashion”, especially these times, offends God…. Liturgical garments have been a part of human history from the earliest of times. I love to see the different vestments priests wear throughout the year. Since the whole community of believers is a holy priesthood through the sacrament of Baptism, why not dress keeping in mind liturgical colors? I think it shows effort, and love for Christ, that you keep these things in mind. When I was very young, I was taught to dress my best for Jesus….I mean, why wouldn’t you dress your best for the King of the universe? Definitely something to think about.

Just Wow. You have completely shifted my view on this topic! I love the idea of repping liturgical calendar colors!
  • @marijagrandov5712
Wow! Thanks for this. I love fashion and jewelry. I also thought it was kind of vain. Well, I'll be dressing up from now on going to church! 👗👠

Love this!! Mass is the wedding supper of the Lamb. Who goes to a wedding and doesn't make an effort to look festive?
  • @seans.1331
It's a good idea. Thank you, Lillian.☦😀✝ “He wears our nature, refashioning it to His own life...Now, through participation in the Spirit, we are refashioned to the likeness of our Maker.” ~St. Cyril of Alexandria
  • You are absolutely going to trip out. I wish I could copy posted this. I was just talking about this this morning.

Man, I can hear speak all day. Learn that blue is Mary’s color. Ty
