When Queensland mum Yoshe Taylor logged on to an internet dating site, she never imagined the devastation that would unfold.

She thought she’d found a friendship and a business opportunity when she exchanged messages with a Nigerian-national living in Cambodia who called himself Precious Max.

Desperate for security in her life and a steady income, she was hooked and visited Precious Max in Cambodia several times.
But it was on her third visit that it all came undone and the web of lies unravelled.

Yoshe was arrested at the airport in Cambodia in 2013, after she was found to be unwittingly carrying 2 kilograms of heroin in the lining of her backpack.

Sentenced to 23 years in a Cambodian prison, Yoshe was helpless and largely forgotten. Six years later, she shares her story for the first time. This is part 1 of a two-part story. Episode two will be posted August 19, 2019.

There is never, ever ever a good reason to carry a suitcase or a bag on a plane for anyone else, no matter what!!
  • I’m Black and single but I wouldn’t trust a Black man named PRECIOUS smh 🤦🏽‍♀️
  • I watched my neighbor lose her home to an online scammer. When I tried to warn her to stop sending money she threatened to sue me if I didn’t mind my own business.
  • My mother always taught me if it's too good to be true then it is probably going to be too good to be true

''My children always come first'' Travels to a random country to visit a 20 year old dude who convinced her to smuggle crack
  • 'Did you pack your own bag'?. 'No Precious Max the Nigerian living in Cambodia who runs an Import/Export business did'
  • I remember meeting a guy online a few years ago, and when l told him l was living in JP, he started making a list of things he wanted me to send him. I told him he was mistaking me for Santa 🤣🤣🤣🤣 he got angry at me, and disappeared. One must be mentally very alert when meeting people online.

Never develop any feelings at all for anyone you don't know in person. The internet is not the real world.
  • @kfshman
Never carry any luggage that doesn't belong to you.
  • After all that happened this woman sits smiling and laughing as she remembers the nice hotel they took her too and the tuk tuks. She's like some silly giggly teenager.

“Never regret your mistakes, only regret you didn’t try”- bad advice from a person caught smuggling. 🙄

Ladies if you ever meet a guy over 2 years old that calls himself "PRECIOUS " please walk away he wont be normal

"Precious Max"...a self proclaimed "businessman" with his pants half down and underwear exposed. Seems perfectly legit. 🤮
  • Never, never, never accept packages from anyone and carry them across a border. Your employer/friend/lover can ship the items themselves if they really want to. Simply state the boundary: "I don't carry packages for other people. It's a boundary that has nothing to do with you." If they get extremely angry and try to intimidate you or make accusations/threats, that is just further confirmation that they were planning to take advantage of you.
  • I've never heard of any Nigerian love or business interest that ended in a success story.

Girl,.... any man who says he has an orphanage or a sick mother , asks you for money or goodies ,you have never seen him or seems sneaky, run very fast until you are out of breath......then after resting, keep running!!
  • @Carmen-Electra
Do you know how many times I’ve been scammed for love and smuggled drugs? NEVER!!!!! Wth is wrong with these people… smh
  • This is why airports always discourage you from carrying any bags that are not your own. This is common sense.
