I built a PC, but it moves

In this video I build a custom PC but design a new case for it and make it kinetic. This is my gaming computer, editing computer, and everything in between. I have spent the last couple months getting the mechanical engineering portions figured out for this custom PC build since I have no idea what I am doing but wanted to make a really complicated design. I have had the idea for a kinetic computer case for a while and after seeing the one from Cyberpower I was excited to try and design and build my own. This is an Arduino project that is actually pretty simple but the mechanical engineering side is difficult having to work within such a constrained space. As far as custom PC case builds go I hope this was one like you have never seen before.

EDIT: I am changing this comment from a FAQ to a link to the behind the scenes video. Airflow? Sound? Digital files? If you have a question that wasn't answered in this video, you should hopefully find it here: https://youtu.be/sJJ7cc2AYIM

Totally not me thinking it would be a pc moving around the desk freely 💀
  • @Frootyitz
i used a scientific method called "eyeballing it" 💀💀

Absolutely mental you managed to see all of this through, I got overwhelmed just watching. You're killing it with these videos and undoubtedly deserve more and more attention <3 SO proud of you!
  • @DWplays
As a mechanical engineer, I have to say, that you my fried have every right to call yourself one too. Achieving this with the "limited" skill set you had is insane. You showed miraculous Problem solving skills. I am impressed
  • @snazzy
This is amazing. You are amazing. The physical and mental fortitude to do this is just downright batty, but wow was the end result worth it! SUCK IT, CYBERPOWER!
  • @SLYP1EPLUSH
This is absolutely mind blowing. No words, just clicking subscribe.
  • @coops3600
That moment where you finally plugged the more complicated one in and saw all of the pieces moving together as intended must have been so damn satisfying

Everyone in the comments is so supportive, but I am kind of disappointed that no one talks about the drawing skills this dude has, but I guess it was shadowed but the hercules work put in the entire video and project. Just amazing ❤
  • @Letsplayer9998
As a mechanical engineer: I am fu**ing stunned by this craftsmanship! The time and effort you put into this is just mindblowing.

Your transitions for your diagrams are incredible. They're really creative and your designs are stylish.

Woodworking and PC building? How did YouTube miss this in the porn filters? Why hasn't Google put you at the top of my list everyday forever? How is this the first I've heard of you? I loved absolutely EVERYTHING about this. Strong work. Please, please please, keep doing you. The awkward humility and god tier editing really sells it. I loved every minute. Pure genius.

That second design looks absolutely sick in action. I can't imagine the satisfaction and relief you felt once it worked. Well done! This is the first video of yours that I have seen, and it earned a sub from me for sure
  • @marcelburdon9795
Your editing is crazy good, the transitions are genuinely magical.
  • @chakra6666
Wow. The editing, the transitions, the little (and big!) visual tricks, the documentation of the process, the end result - all incredible. Insane work!
  • @Superabound2
You know, for all the problems you ran into....the end result is absolutely stunning
  • @calebrussell3737
This channel is gonna be huge. Your editing and imagination is genuinely great! Keep up the great vids!
  • @DreamingSnorlax
Criminally underrated, what top notch editing and the humor really landed, not to mention what an awesome concept! 10/10
  • @MrValdemar4ik
The most impressive part is that you're so consistent and committed to the process that you VISUALIZED every freaking single gear's teeth on that drawing with hundreds of gears. Mindblowing sir
  • @VitoHGrind
That was amazing! I love the creativity in the editing as well. There's so much care and detail put into every moment here. It truly was a joy to watch. Thanks for sharing!
