Seulgi underestimated Irene and thought she could control her, but no. Irene’s dangerous with an innocent look and starts to take control of Seulgi instead. It’s kind of visible through the choreography at the start and end where the 2 of them and the dancers form a kind of monster/spider figure. Irene starts off as the body and Seulgi has control, but at the end Seulgi becomes the body and Irene has control over her. Sort of like a “we may look sweet and innocent but we’re dangerous” theme.

Fun fact: this MV came out later than expected because the editor had to cut some scenes in which Irene had a knife. Maybe that's the reason why Jordan felt like some parts of the editing were kinda off.

From what I got from others in the music video; Seulgi was the Monster and was crawling in the beginning towards "Innocent" Irene to consume her, but we see that Irene isn't as innocent as she seems. Instead of consuming into both of them occupying the same body at the start of the bed room scene (2 beds, 1 room) "One Light, Two shadows". It turns into a battle of control and seduction over the body. Later it turns out the Irene became the monster and Seulgi the prey, loosing control over her own body. Seulgi makes one last desperate attempt to take control again by eliminating Irene (gun scene) but decides to surrender under her spell. MV ends with Seulgi being the face of the spider and Irene is the one who controls the vessel.

I think it's more about that the innocent girl is getting possessed by the monster and supposed to be her shadow. The real monster is making the innocent one dream only about her. The innocent girl thinks she is the monster but the real monster is the one that had the demon face. We could see that she showed her real demon face behind the girl that she was possessing. And we can see in the choreography that in the beginning it looked like "the innocent girl" was controlling the monster but in the end of the mv we can see that they switching sides and that the real monster is the one that was controlling her. So for the monster is just all games and teasing but the innocent girl realize it and she becomes no longer innocent and is possessed. I coppied from another video. I’m sure a bunch of people already mentioned their theories but I’m just gonna leave this one here. KpopJunkee is actually the one who thought of this I just really agree with him. He thinks it’s about a monster (Seulgi) stalking and then possessing their ‘innocent’ prey (Irene), but Irene is not the innocent girl Seulgi thinks she is and they battle for control. The scenes of them in the one room show that they’re two minds in one body. Seulgi starts losing control because she underestimated her prey and eventually Irene wins. So in the end when they form the ‘Spider’ in the dance it’s Irene controlling it, which is the opposite of how it started. Hope you feel better soon!
