There's a great documentary on YouTube about how Rob Wiethoff basically retired from acting after RDR and went back to his farming life. The producers literally had to find him again to get him for the sequel.

Red Dead Redemption 1 was my favourite game for 8 years. Then RDR2 came out and that became my favourite game, with RDR1 dropping to #2. I just love the Red Dead series.

In 2015 I was scrolling through GameStop’s website looking for games to buy and saw RDR for $5. I had never seen any gameplay of it and only knew of the ads I saw when it came out when I was in the 8th grade but saw it was by Rockstar so I picked it up. I played it for 15 minutes and fell in love with it, it was the 1st game and I platinum’d and I played through it 5-6 times. As a video game fan and a giant history nerd, it was amazing. The RDR series is my favorite of all time.

I find it hilarious that Red Dead Redemption is the second game in the franchise and that Red Dead Redemption 2 is the third game in the franchise. Even Dutch's voice actor was confused when RDR2 was announced as such, as he thought Red Dead Redemption 2 was a placeholder title, since it's the third game in the series.

Rockstar should remaster Red Dead Redemption or at least just port it to PS4, people want to play in chronological order. They remastered LA Noire, now how about their best (of last gen).
