Threads of Fate is basically Squaresoft taking XenoGears's annoying engine and making it into an action RPG lol. I agree with all the games we played in common except for Vagrant story I freaking love that game.

Wow,…Arc the Lad caused you severe emotional damage 😮
  • @Kozmo-Kamuy
More like 10 jrpgs that need to change to your sensiblities
  • The Atelier series in general. No matter how hard I try, every time I try to start it again I always end up quitting after less than an hour.

my dude sounded like Gollum "our birthday present!"
  • @Dpyrt
Agarest: Generations of War is definitely one of them. So much going for it, but it's bogged down by a lot of its systems.

I played The last Remnant on Steam. I really liked the Battle System. It was fun to flank and ambush Enemies, manage Army formations to try new stuff and break enemy morale. I really hope for a Remake and Sequel.

Have Phantom Brave for the psp. Never got into it either.
  • @ZuperNEZ
For me it was Rogue Galaxy and Resonance of Fate. Tried them each for a few days and gave up on the both.
  • I actually really enjoyed Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution. I think it took me a while to fully understand the rules, but it has some cool mechanics for a card game. The Gamecube had a few cool games that used cards for their gameplay, actually. I love Fire Emblem, but I've never been that fussed about their stories, and Emblem Engage has some of the best gameplay and visuals in the whole series. Three Houses was fun for me as well, but the maps didn't seem very interesting. Also, I hardly ever replay games nowadays because of my huge backlog, especially if they have a lot of busy work like the monastary, and so I feel like I didn't really get to experience the full game for Three Houses. I personally think it's very sad to see Engage's user score on Metacritic be so low because of spiteful people that are disappointed it wasn't more like Three Houses, when a lot of the series isn't really that much like Three Houses either. I worry that this will still happen to future Fire Emblem games, even if they have decent stories, because a lot of the newer fans seem to really want that specific Three Houses formula again.

I kinda agree on phantom brave, because the gameplay is very complicated with annoying mechanic with time limited allies that can be O.B. if not carefull, althought Morona is the only one that can be on the field forever she more of a healer than anything so yeah if she die might as well get a game over unless you kill all the enermies in time, but this game have a super good story, there where is recomanded
  • for fire emblem engage, you can thanks your translator because they change an atrosious amount of dialogue from the original
  • Episode III PSO is strange and very complicated. XD It's one of those games that's loveable when you understand it, but getting a grip on it takes too long, and in modern terms it has the problem of being too slow-moving. Best-case scenario for learning is probably playing the third 2-player mission multiple times while figuring out how to work with what you've got. I wish it had come with a much more robust 2-player mode, because that could be really fun. Cards have a ton of interesting strategic effects to work around, and are surprisingly balanced such that medium-cost cards usually perform well against the low-cost ones, high-cost cards do well against medium-cost cards, and yet low-cost cards are often useful at dealing with high-cost cards, using special effects and hit-and-run tactics. Likewise, some cards seem fairly weak, but can become extremely effective with the right uses, like Long Arm. Incredible soundtrack too. There's a reason its final boss theme reappears in PSO2. :D

To say Monster Hunter is 90% gameplay and 10% isent true att all! its less then 0,5% story :), i like boss fights so its my drug of coice but full understandebul that ppl dont like it, every game is not for everyone and thats ok. /thumbs up
