Stablecoins are an attempt to create a cryptocurrency that isn’t volatile. A stablecoin’s value is pegged to a real world currency, also known as fiat currency. For example, the Stablecoin known as Tether, or USDT, is worth 1 US dollar and is expected to maintain this peg no matter what.

Fantastic video. A great resource to come back to time and time again to remind me exactly why these coins exist. I suspect over time once the volatility is not as great SC's will provide a further use utility to the crypto space. We don't always know from the outset how things are likely to morph. But brilliant video.
