Regarding the mirror mode: It's not the animations or the models that are flipped. Instead, the projected scene on the screen is flipped in its entirety. The game loads the exact same courses and characters as in a regular race and just changes how they are displayed. That's why you won't find any mirrored models or tracks in the game files.
  • @bruhman8322
You forgot to tell that there is at least one chicken on EVERY track
  • About Mirror Mode, it's a thing that's quite common across all games that have this feature, like Luigi's L being mirrored in Luigi's Mansion's Mirror Mode. I believe what they do is not mirror the tracks, but mirror the entire screen sans HUD and swap the left and right inputs. It's less about attention to detail and more about efficiency.

Maybe it's just me but the singing fish sounds like it's replicating the sound of collecting a crystal?
  • @jessejive117
7:00 bro that fish is singing the crystal sound when you pick one up
  • @NintendoTV64
I literally had no idea that Game Over window even existed on Cortex Castle until now.
  • @marygaillard
Best Easter egg is pinguins party on polar pass duuuuuuuudes xdd
  • @sqwbamaus2525
My favorite Easter egg is the "Penguin Yay 1" Quote when unlocking Penta Penguin in Nitro Fueled.
  • @tkblackbourn
'Penguins on Blizzard Bluff", that's because it's Penta's home track 😅
  • @BrennySpain
The “game over” is just brilliant it think! How did I never see this before?!!

Another reference is that the post-apocalyptic polar skin, the baby Crash pajama skin and the fake crash monster skin are all references to some crash of the titans. For example: -Baby Crash pajama refers to "Ratcicle" -Polar post-apocalyptic is a reference of "Rhinoroller" -And fake crash monster is a clear reference to the mutant "Sludge" Apparently Beenox integrates some mutants in order not to put everyone as playable characters: v
  • Theres so much love in this game. Just the fact that penta penguin has his placeholder "penguin yay 1" easter egg voice line shows beenox really do love the original and wanted a remake as much as we did
  • @mcrsrm
I just learned (or re-learned) that ninja penguins are the main enemy in Tag Team Racing hub world. And we have Ninja skin for Penta in Nitro Fueled.

6:15 The assistants are being assembled in Assembly Lane towards the end of the lap after the conveyor belt bit with the crushers
  • @LuchosFactory
About the Lab Assistants, there's the secret warp room in Crash Warped, where you can see the Lab Asses' assembly line, transporting into a "disguise" machine, and then into a warp to other levels (in N. Sane, this include levels from CB1 and CB2 if I remember correctly).
  • @ivangabriel4868
I had found all of these except the Terminator one (such a great catch) and the singing fish. I had seen the fish many times but never heard him sing. If you take a closer look, he's actually emulating the sound the crystals make when you pick them up. Excellent easter egg.
  • @E.J.W
With Easter Egg number 4, you can see the Lab Assistants being constructed and carried through Assembly Lane.
