Justin Hayward the singer of the band wrote this at the age of 19, genius at that age to produce something so profound

Those were the days.. love this song.. His voice ❤❤

"Nights In White Satin" is their most famous song. Moody Blues are one of my favorite groups from the 60's-80's. Love their mix of rock with classical music. Lots of great songs such as "Go Now", "Tuesday Afternoon", "The Story In Your Eyes", "Question", "Ride My See-Saw", "I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)", "Gemini Dream", "The Voice" etc. All of their music is great! Many of their records are concept albums & meant to be listened to all at once. Sadly Ray Thomas their flute player & singer passed away in 2018 & their drummer Graeme Edge passed away in 2021.

The orchestral backing just puts an already great song on a whole other level!

I was not a huge Moody Blues enthusiast back in the day when I went to see them live. To this day it remains one of the best sounding concerts I ever saw. They were excellent live.

A fantastic moody's song. Used to be mesmerized by it everytime it played through my FM radio.

Bought this record when I was 16/17. That’s 45 years ago! What a beautiful song
-
written when he was 19 in 1967 68, this concert is in 2000 and he sounds amazing
-
very hard to find a live performance as good as this...................absolutely brilliant on all levels
-
They did a lot more than one album. They were one of the greatest groups in the world in the late 60s, early 70s.
-
I’m addicted to watching live concerts, on YouTube. I love watching musicians playing their instruments. To me, it adds so much. Thanks for doing this one. 👍

The 1967 official version has a poem at the end of it that really makes this song special. Look for Nights In White Satin-The Moody Blues (1967) A Timeless Classic.
-
This is THE BEST performance of this song. EVER.
-
Seen them 7 times. They're awesome with a mind bender. I stopped going to the shows after Ray passed away. Justin and John are the only two left. A really great band. And their record company never has their songs removed from YouTube.

I was listening this a while ago, send it to my aunt.. she was on the phone the next morning.. she loved it we had a good conversation.. she listens to it regularly now. Power of music❤
-
Would give anything to have seen them live with a full orchestra!!! ❤❤

This song came out in 1967. I was 17 years old. I am now 73 and still listen to The Moody Blues. This is one example why my generation can't stand the music of today.
-
One of the best Bands in our lifetime!! Thank you for sharing this song!

🦋🦋🦋 When I first started dating my partner 14 years ago, this concert was on PBS, and I got to watch it on his 70" plasma television and a mighty impressive stereo system. I had a 24" regular ol' TV so needless to say I was blown away by everything that night! 🦋🦋🦋 💎💎💎 I've been listening to The Moody Blues for over 50 years now. They were a huge part of my life in high school, and they are a part of my memory and soul now. 💎💎💎
