You could really call any character boring in the way that you explained Garou, since everyone'll play a character in a similar way. The better that they get with the character, the more riskier combos they'll do with them (different combos / variety). Everyone's going to use a similar combo if it's good and easy, that's just how you learn a character.

I mainly use Saitama because I prefer looking awesome over doing insane combos and I do agree with you that they’re all the exact same. The main thing though is probably the toxicity. 90% of the toxic players use Garou. You’ll know because they like to rub in their kills by using hunter’s grasp after you’re already dead.

as a saitama main (nowadays), If you need to improve fast, use Saitama, because the movement of it if it is perfectly hit and timed you can destroy low kill players or even senior player sometimes. Garou can be mostly used nowadays. Genos is low used. Or maybe even sonic.

when garou released his ult's 3 and 4 were just his base moveset, the devs seem to be updating him

Garou is one of the most fun characters in my opinion. Yeah, only if you know what you're doing, I've been using Garou since he got released. The combos are extremely fun and feel so good to pull off.

I feel like the problem is that all his moves (besides his counter) are grabs, which leaves little room for creativity. He is the only one that has 3 grab moves, saitama is the opposite, all his moves involve no grabbing, and are very versatile which makes him fun. Another character, metal bat does have 2 grab moves, but all his moves flow together well which gives lots of creativity aswell while still having grabs.

garou isnt boring it really just depends on how you play him . a lot ofm people are sweats and be toxic with garou because of its skill but playing garou the normal way is actually relaxing and fun

I feel like boring isn’t the best word for it. More like generic. He’s honestly probably one of the best characters, he just gets overused so much that hero hunter players all seem to be the same now.

i find it funny how well garou's base moveset counters garou's ultimate moveset, just run away and then whenever the ultimate garou front dashes, just dash away, when they use crushed rock, just prey's peril them

i use garou cause he's got good, reliable combos and bait setups. His combos always have the potential to not kill, but set up the opponent to get hit by a mixup. thats why i like playing garou because he's a really skilled character with simple combos for beginners, and hard combos for more experienced players.

Garou's moveset is rather artful imo. His focus on close combat and minimalist fighting style ( as opposed to the large aoe attacks of other characters not including his utl mode ofc) make garou pleasant to watch and use. A higher skilled mirror match using him is just easier to follow critically. Find two talented Garou players and just imagine the Sakura petals fall as they clash. A sick sight fr. Also, it's unfortunate that toxic players are usually the cause of a disliked character. Doesn't even matter what the game is.

As a garou main, I do see where you are coming from. There are a ton of garou users doing the same combo because it does damage. They completely disregard the practicality of the combo. Personally, I make up the combo during the fight because I have used garou for a while now, so I have the level of quick thinking to do so.

I sometimes sweat when I’m doing ranked 2v2 and my teammate is out of lives but mostly I just play regularly and do normal combos and just blah blah sometimes I do Kyoto sometimes I do another combo, thing is, there are less combo possibilities bc one move is a counter and all the combos do around the same damage. I also feel like Saitama could be another candidate because they’re always either pros or horrible, and the three m1s into shove into 4th m1 also can get repetitive, so can many other Saitama moves. So many techniques and combos are boring! Anyways, the point I’m trying to get to is that at some point, if you’re good enough, you’ve seen everything and everything is equally boring.

As a metal bat, thsi is relatable. It’s honestly so confusing how he hits me while and staring him down while blocking.

The reason I love garou is for the fun complex combos and fast m1s. Genos on the other hand has slow m1s and only 1 combo (that ive seen), or people just spam with him instead.
