Third week of Mounjaro. First week injected in stomach and first 3 days nauseau. Headache that subsided after Tylenol. Takes the appetite away. Have had difficulty eating. Made terrible mistake eating fried chicken and terrible upset stomach and nausea. 2nd week injected in thigh. Diarrhea for 3 days, couldnt sleep for running to bathroom. Stomach hurt. Trouble eating again, just not hungry. I ate better end of week, couple days before 3rd injection. This week, not as much nauseau or diarrhea. Learning ways to eat. Trying small meals. Drinking more water. Finally weighed and I am 211 from starting weight 221. Needing nutritional help with to eat and not to eat.
  • I have 42lbs to lose. Started mounjaro four days ago in conjunction with a fasting routine of 18 hrs fasting . I eat carefully between 12 and 6pm so asleep mostly when fasting . I have lost 7.5 lbs in four days on 2.5mg. Amazed . No exercise currently as have back injury !

Thanks for the content! Currently taking off label via a prescription from my PCP that my insurance company refused to cover. Been on it 6 months now and currently taking the 10MG shot every Sunday after starting at 2.5 MG., Started at 270 and I am 215.6 as of my last weigh in. I still have a ways to go, but making excellent progress. The high cost from Lilly Pharma is really a killer though and my budget is stretched to the max to swing paying for it. With virtually no insurance company willing to help unless you are type 2, there are lots of people out there who could benefit from this drug but simply can't afford it.

In my first month on mounjaro for obesity 2.5 mgs I lost 42 pounds with strict keto and cardio! My medical provider was astonished and said there’s a possibility I may be a super responder … He did share with me the danger of losing too much weight too fast, so I probably won’t be doing that anymore … This medicine is beyond game changing it’s a literal pharmacological paradigm shift…

I started Mounjaro, going on my 3rd week, so far so good, for me has been reduced appetite and cravings, sometimes some light diarrhea, haven't felt weak and i started seeing positive changes, will start incorporating exercise to help me keep tight while loosing my extra weight. It sits well will me as well to help me reverse any starting insuline resistance that comes with the overweight. Glad i found it and will see how I keep evolving on this journey. My question will be when do u know is a good moment to stop taking it and the maintainance afterwards.

Thank you. Just purchased the medication from a weight loss clinic, since doctor won't cover it, even though it is now approved weight loss drug by FDA. I wanted reliable information and I thank you for providing me with the information that I needed.

Great video, thank you Dr. I just got my first Mounjaro prescription and very excited to start, I’m looking for as much information as I can before starting my injections. I have 30lbs to lose to get to my goal weight. I’m worried about potential hair loss, is there anything I can do to hope to prevent this? Thank you!

Thank you Doc! I was just prescribed this today for my type 2 diabetes and I had no idea about the weight loss side effect. Very informative video 👍

Is there a reason that 2.5 starter dose was not included in the study? Is there no expected weight loss at the 2.5 dose?
  • @user-zy8lj7bf6u
Thank you for your video. Is this medication safe to use with heart patients.
  • @gliderrider
Doesn’t really matter if our insurance won’t cover it.
