We continue to discover how to quickly sketch dynamic figures using RHYTHMS. I'll show you my template to draw the legs, arms, feet and hands from any angle and make every part of the body feel connected. We’ll focus on visual alignments and flow between the forms, helping you move beyond disjointed and stiff figure drawings.

If you missed PART 1, make sure to watch it to learn how to use rhythms to draw the head, neck, and torso -    • Draw ANY Pose From ANY Angle

I think I have a better grasp of what artists like Bruce Timm are trying to do, and why their art evokes realistic movement with an abstract figure, because of this video.
  • @stevehutch
I’ve studied the Burne Hogarth, Andrew Loomis and Michael Hampton figure drawing books. Proko makes this complicated topic much easier to learn.

I feel like the hardest thing to draw is perspective or the distance between someone or an object.
  • LOVE the delivery of this, and also just watching you draw :) It’s really reigniting my fire to sketch and make fun expressive yet structured poses!

I have been practicing anatomy for the past year or so like delving all my focus to improve my anatomical skills. Understanding and apply the muscles helped with the legs (for its my most difficult part of the body to grasp), it just always felt stiff than I wanted it to be but you basically saved my life with just this video and I am absolutely grateful as always 😭💜 thank you thank you thank youu!

This serie of video is by FAR the best gesture-wise class out there. For pro artists, gesture is like a second nature at this point, and they have a really hard time explaining it to beginner artists, like it's hard for us to explain how to walk or breath in detail. But you really put in the effort of explaining exaclty what you're doing, what you're looking for, and the whole process. This will very certainly increase the level of many beginner artists. Thank you.
