I Think… I NEEDED to visit POLAND. (I'm shook) 🇵🇱😮‍💨

WROCLAW, POLAND is not somewhere I thought I would visit. Poland in general wasn't on my Travel Bucket List.

Based out of Prague, and with a huge amount of options for destinations in Europe, something in me told me that I should visit Poland. I hadn't heard much about it... it wasn't buzzy, but it just felt like something I should do.

Shortly after arriving I had a major lightbulb moment. It entirely changed the way I viewed Poland as a country, and the way I looked at my own family, history, and life.

The food and culture in Wroclaw is incredible and (to my absolute surprise), the city has become one of my favorite places in all of Europe. I hope you get a chance to visit, and I hope you get a chance to travel to places that have importance to yourself, your upbringing, and your family history! It's more important than you might even realize.

  • You made my day when I found out that somewhere, far away in the United States, a boy in primary school is waiting for dumplings day and it is his favorite day, my soul laughed. Thank you for that smile!

I'm from Buffalo, NY & spent my freshman high school year at Depew High School which I swear was half Polish & half Italian kids. Best year of high school & lifetime love of Polish people. Great video.

The best pronunciation of "Wrocław" I have heard from a foreigner. Enjoyed watching your culinary adventure and personal journey. Sub :)

As a foreigner who lived in Wrocław for 3 years this video brings back so many good memories. We remembered the good times we lived there, unique mixture of architecture, Stare Miasto, Wyspa Piasek, pierogarnias, little dwarf statues... There are even more things to see, Hala Stulecia coming to my mind right away. It is such an underrated city with lots to offer in my opinion. But the best part for us was the decent people. Everyone was so nice and helpful for our foreigner family who couldn't speak Polish at all. For food there are many options as well. Besides lovely restaurants and cafes, there are many nice local options called Bar Mleczny. Some of them cook decent and authentic food. Also you can try going for a 'Cukiernia' and try Sernik, or go for a 'Pączkarnia' to get some delicious pączki. You will then get why some international brands like Cheesecake Factory or Dunkin Donuts had no chance in this country :) PS: Even though that now we live in Germany, we think that Polish Golonka beats Haxe, as well as Kielbasa is just better than most of the Wurst. But we don't tell it to our German friends in order not to hurt their feelings :D

I have a Polish grandfather who died before I was born. I have always had Poland on my ‘to visit’ list but I always felt bad I knew nothing about it. Your video has really inspired me to make the trip next year. So thanks!

W 2 dni ponad 20k wyświetleń. Rodacy klikamy, oglądamy i idziemy na rekord. Niech świat wie że Polska jest piękna.

Your pronunciation of Wrocław and Żurek is amazing :) Cheers from Warsaw
  • @iglica7169
You are right Americans still think that Poland is somewhere in Siberia with polar bears strolling in the streets and nothing to see. This is true even with those who have Polish roots, for whom Europe starts and ends with London. I go to Poland every year and frankly I like the fact that not too many people want to visit so it is still affordable and not overcrowded with tourists. Great video and story behind it. Best!

I just returned with my wife on a trip that included staying in Krakow and Warsaw. It was great and I loved it. Now, being of Polish ancestry, my Dziadzia was from Krakow, and my Babcia was from Warsaw, I did feel a connection.
  • You probably don't know it, but Poland is a fashionable country right now. Make more videos here, you will get a lot of views. Poland has so many cities and castles that you will have enough time to explore for the rest of your life😁 Plus Poland is one of the safest countries in the world
